sweet all ranged woot! WOOT EXCELLENT can't wait

NINAbuser November 6 2007 4:28 PM EST

Even RoBF is acceptable? And suppose I get a familiar or does no DD apply everywhere?

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 6 2007 4:55 PM EST

forgot to clarify - RoBF is the only unusable tattoo :)

NINAbuser November 6 2007 5:30 PM EST

Thank you Slayer I will worship your tournies henceforth!

QBRanger November 6 2007 5:35 PM EST

Why is the RBF the only tattoo you can not use?

It certainly is not too powerful at the lower reaches the game as many past posts attest to.

We can prove it is uber powerful near the top, however that certainly does not apply to the lower ranks of the game.

I say this is poppycock, all tattoo or none should be allowed.

Especially after so many convincing arguments stating the RBF is in no way, shape or form overpowered.

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 6 2007 5:43 PM EST

After using an RoBF on my NCB at the lower levels I can say from experience that no other tattoo is anywhere near as good to use for early-game.

This no-RoBF isn't for all tourneys from this point, just for this one.

QBRanger November 6 2007 5:46 PM EST

But Slayer,

There are so many counters for the RBF, AC/TOE/RBF.

I still think the RBF should be allowed due to the fact it is not overpowered at all. Plenty of past posts have convinced me of that.

But I will defer to your judgment on the matter as obviously I have no knowledge of what is too powerful or not in CB. :)

NINAbuser November 6 2007 10:06 PM EST

Ranger the issue with tourney RoBF is that it turns it into a complete RoBF tourney... It is just a contest to see who can camp and buy off the highest tat. The counters waste a lot of time and a lot of BA that could be better spent gaining MPR or Score. Massive AC also requires you to either use armor that lowers skills and such or use leather stuff which can't get very high. And the ToE doesn't reduce enough early to counter the RoBF.

QBOddBird November 6 2007 11:14 PM EST

Doesn't matter what is judgment is of what is or isn't too powerful in CB, Ranger - even if he simply said, "I just don't want RoBFs in my T19 tourney", that's his call and he doesn't have to justify it...

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] November 7 2007 6:44 AM EST

I think you're all missing the sarcasm and irony of Rangers posts.

RichardRahl{Kill Gun} November 7 2007 7:48 AM EST

no RoBF eh.......? so familiars can be used for the DD spells....ok =D

QBRanger November 7 2007 8:45 AM EST

At least Zog can understand my posts.

My above posts were dripping with sarcasm. I fully well know the RBF is the best tattoo to use in tourney and nl characters.

Phoenix [The Forgehood] November 7 2007 2:45 PM EST

>Defeat the highest MPR character on November 9th.

at noon? or starting at 12 midnight?

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 7 2007 2:50 PM EST

My apologies then Ranger - sarcasm does not travel well via internet. :)

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 7 2007 2:51 PM EST

Oh, and it the attacking may begin at midnight.

Big PAPA November 7 2007 3:35 PM EST

No Melee Weapons, including UC.
Some of these guys are using a melee weapon to start out. you see it in their purchase log. That is not fair for those who did not and had to lose about 30-40 fights to get enough exp to train amf to even win a battle.

TheHatchetman November 7 2007 3:54 PM EST

Did you really think that you had to start off losing until you got AMF?

Big PAPA November 7 2007 3:58 PM EST

Why not Hatch thats what the rules say no melee

TheHatchetman November 7 2007 4:00 PM EST

and what of the last tourney that specified no physical attacks? Mages only. I can recall there was an exception to that one... Not sure what it was, but there was one...

Big PAPA November 7 2007 4:05 PM EST

The mage war
the tournament will last from October 4th, 12:00 PM EDT to October 11 12:00 PM EDT.
Rules will be in effect tomorrow at 12PM.
I believe he gave us 24 hours, this tourney says nothing like that

TheHatchetman November 7 2007 4:17 PM EST

Yeah... we're cheating...

Big PAPA November 7 2007 4:20 PM EST

Why can't I try a dd spell if you can use a weapon to start maybe the rules don't start yet huh. Reset us both don't matter i'll start again

NINAbuser November 7 2007 5:04 PM EST

Well all that aside I still assume Familiars are out of the question right?

TheHatchetman November 7 2007 5:08 PM EST

forgot to clarify - RoBF is the only unusable tattoo :)

-Slayer

TheHatchetman November 7 2007 5:28 PM EST

and as far as melee weapons to start off go, we're down to two choices...

1) Allow them.
- or -
2) Reset everyone but Ash.

TheHatchetman November 7 2007 6:02 PM EST

and what happens if two people beat the same character and that char ends up being the highest MPR?

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 7 2007 6:07 PM EST

I will announce who the official target is as late tonight or as early tomorrow as possible, before the announcement no attacks will count

QBRanger November 7 2007 6:09 PM EST

Slayer,

I would not tell them Koy is the target till Friday, to give them time to prepare :)

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 7 2007 6:11 PM EST

By highest MPR character I meant highest MPR in the tournament :)

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 8 2007 6:46 AM EST

BloodHoundGangT19 Is the target

NINAbuser November 8 2007 12:47 PM EST

Yipee! I am the target come get me :P!

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 8 2007 7:49 PM EST

Big PAPA is the first to defeat NIN, congratulations :)

2nd and 3rd place are still up for grabs!

NINAbuser November 9 2007 1:25 AM EST

Papa never beat me though.... How can this be? No-one has attacked me since Nov 8th

NINAbuser November 9 2007 1:35 AM EST

Well I have been told that just because the Win Condition says defeat on November 9th other rules were broken so therefore I suppose he does win.

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 [SHIELD] November 12 2007 9:51 PM EST

Winners are:

Big PAPA
The Hatchetman
NINAbuser

prizes sent out in a moment :)
