My RBF strategy (in General)

Ok, this is probably not going to help my argument that the RBF is not overpowered....lol

I started off this NCB of mine as a standard RBF/Evasion minion, much like Dude's char. Mostly I was thinking about 2 paths - sticking with that in order to make as much money as possible and buy ba for the duration of my NCB ; or build as big a minion as possible and later on add minions and change strat to something I find more fun.

However, due to the fact that I own a SoD of very large damage I decided to build up some physical stats on my guy and turn him into a single RBF tank.

But what I'm finding is that the single minion RBF is actually more like a multi minion team, because of the RBF damage and protection. I have a melee damage dealer - the RBF; I have a mini tank operating in ranged - the ST/DEX. I have a anti mage wall - the RBF DD reduction/protection, and an anti tank evasion wall - evasion obviously.

And dilution isn't a major problem because of a) the RBF allowing XP focus and b) the new and improved NCB bonus.

So, as I said, I'm making it very difficult to argue against the RBF is overpowered crowd. But I'm also finding it difficult to not praise it's ability to make single minions as powerful as multi minion teams. That has been a long time coming.

Exactly! Neat strat, btw.
Anyway, it is a good idea, and yes, it has been a long time coming.
Of course, this is another win for the Anti-RBF folks. =D (Joke...)
But what the heck?

The problem you will get into is GA.

If you hit with your SOD/ex shots and do a nice amount of damage, the GA can potentially kill your minion. Thereby making the RBF moot.

Also, you are diluting your xp even more to learn str/dex.

More power to you for trying something new, however, it will not work as well as just using the RBF and training evasion/hp/amf.

You're right about the GA, although as my 'tank' is only a mini-me he's too small in stature to hit most teams; it's just something extra for right now.

If I choose to carry him on in this fashion then you're right, XP dilution will happen; and so will increased danger from GA. But right now it's doing some extra, wasting some ammo and occasionally - Hi Maelstrom! - adding a few people to my fightlist!
