i just found this, everyone else probably already knows of it but i think it is the neatest thing since sliced bread and free.

1-800-GOOG 411

free info search and such. try it if you haven't as of yet.

I tried it once, but the damn place I was trying to call wasn't in their directory. Perhaps I'll try it again since it was only around for a grand total of three days when I tried it, but GOOG 411 and I aren't off to a good start. It's a great idea, but all I foresee it doing is making cell phone carriers stop charging when you call 411 (which is great for we consumers).

Do American phones actually allow you to dial letters??

Mem November 12 2007 8:22 AM EST

The letters are on the key pad. You know, if you want an A, B, or C you dial 2. If you want a D, E, or F you dial a 3. Undoubtedly some grand scheme perpetrated upon us by entrepreneur scum.

FREE-411 & GOOG-411
