Instead of the usual single minion FB/FF team I thought about a FB/SF team. The SF would take out the back minions, concentrating the fireball. Also, if it gets into melee, the SF wouldn't hit the FB minion. Can anyone tell me why/why not this is a good idea?

I would say the biggest issue you are going to run into is the fact that you are a multi and therefore banned from the game.
(sorry, I couldn't resist talking to an empty chair...)

For those who really care about strategy this idea is well known and used by some people.
Most of the time along with DM to stop GA.
But: MULTI GO HOME!

Heh... yeah, it is a good strategy, though a good counter is the rather common wall-in-back-and-AoIs-on-fronts... You still won't be able to reach those front minions very easily.
Actually, right now I can't think of anyone who puts a wall in front. Why would you? Ever?
