It's not really a question, at least to me.
Ariel Atom 2 300
Power: 300hp (Supercharged)
Weight: 1,005lb (Yes, that's right, pounds)
0-60: 2.9s
Power Steering? ABS? Roof?! Windshield?!?
Heck no.
Price? Just $63,000 for the left hand drive version.
Smoking a Ferrari off the line? A lot closer than you think.
who cares, it's a permanent convertible. :)
That'd be sweet to ride around in.

Oh please, a tricycle? that's practical... =P
i saw this actual episode on speedtv, pretty sweet!
Looks sweet, but just imagine driving that in the rain... or worse, snow!
It'd be way worse than even a motorcycle...

"Looks sweet, but just imagine driving that in the rain... or worse, snow!

Howso?
Both have you getting hit in the face by bullets of precipitation, and both will leave the ground slick... but at least with the Atom or spyder, you have extra wheels for balance...
I have a scooter, but not like JD's from Scrubs, I mean a large 150 cc scooter with 90mph+ capabilities, and it sucks to have to go somewhere in the rain with that... I've hit slick spots nearly causing me to wipe out at speeds from 15-35 (I don't push it too hard in slick weather :P)...I could only imagine how much worse it would be on a real bike (I plan to find out when I get a motorcycle endorsement on my license, and the money for a real bike.)... Is there something I'm missing?

The new Nissan GT-R has been getting incredible reviews.
They say steering better then a Porsche Turbo and just as fast.
Around The Nürburgring, it posted the 3rd fastest time ever. Just 4 seconds off the Porsche GT.
And the price is 1/2 that of the Porsche Turbo.
Possibly the best Sports Car ever.
yeah maybe ranger, but its still a nissan, if i want a sports car im not buying a nissan.

Many a "true" sport car are not BMWs or a Porsches.
The Mitsubshi Evo IX for instance.
So what if it is a Nissan.? It apparently is in incredible car especially for the price. It is being compared to true exotics like the Carrera GT, the SLR McLaren and even the Porsche GT2.

the nissan gt-r specs are nice but its looks are only so-so. as near-supercar japanese imports go, I like the acura NSX better. (and good grief so do a lot of other people. even a 10 year old nsx is still pricey.)
hottest car today? koenigsegg ccx.
Mitsubshi Evo IX, this is more a street legal rally car then a sports
car, but still nice.
And that new koenigsegg, wow absolutely stunning car.

Good point, but it actually was already driven to the arctic circle =P
As far as actual cars with roofs go, I think my favorite car right now would have to be a Hennessey Viper... it's a 1000hp Bugatti Veyron killer, weighs over a ton less, and more importantly it's only about a quarter mil, as opposed to the $1.5m for a Bugatti.

I don't care about the price, I just happened to fall in love with Italian cars. The best sports car ever is the Ferrari FXX, closely followed by the Maserati MC12. Not to mention the Pagani Zonda C12S and the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640. Those are some real cars, they'll race those bikes off the circuit any time.

Anyone care to comment on the Lotus Elise or Exige?
Both are about 50k and preform like true track cars.

I thought they were minimalist cars too until I stumbled upon the Ariel Atom (see 1st post).
They're great and all, but for $15k more you get a car without a roof.
Oh yeah, it's much better on the track too.
In a similar vein there is the Caterham range
