One Minion UC Question (in General)

FuriousHobo January 23 2008 8:27 PM EST

During my most recent strategy, the One Minion UC, it seems as if the RBF does not grant evasion to PTH anymore? Also, i am wondering if my character should not use the RBF anymore and start with my one enemy, Calynne's Zachary's strat, which is using the combat gi and the elven gear. Zachary beats me, so i want to know what i should change to make my character better. My theory right now is that i should add the combat gi and elven gear because it grants me more evasion but also that the RBF's dmg has been diminished and is more useful at low levels. Please give me any suggestions and Thank you. :)

both the RoBF and UC work best at low levels

If you want to continue to use UC you might want to look into using a ToA, or hiring another minion in order to use a combat GI.

o.o I'm an enemy? But why?

Zachary beats you because the char is much larger than you

Well Calynne, you farm me almost every day with 75 fights with me. :[ and to novice: What is a good idea for the new minion?

I think the evasion granted by the combat Gi and Elven Cloak is better than any benefit given by a tattoo.

That's true before RBF change.

Provided your tattoo size nears max level, evasion granted from tattoo is already quite good for any char size. Couple that with good magic damage reduction and extra unstoppable damage from tattoo, RBF outweighs any other combination you would find for single UC char.

Evasion from RoBF is broken.

Yessir, I totally agree. Before my current NCB, I ran a UC character equipped with a ToA. That really didn't turn out all that great. And that was before the ToA's effect got changed to add less to PTH than it used to.

My current NCB is already much more successful than the character I retired, and I still have 2 months to go. I would go with CGi and EC. As long as you're not wearing a tattoo, may as well try out some power shields and see how they work for you, too.

If you're adding another minion, I would suggest that maybe you put a ToE or something on the new minion, and then the aura effect will benefit your current minion. Or something else with an aura effect that will enhance your damage dealer further.
