Here it is guys, Superbowl Sunday (in Contests)

[P]Mitt February 1 2008 8:11 PM EST

My Pats -9.5 over your giants.

Bets 100k and up, up to 2 million in total.

Bring it!

[RX3]Cotillion February 1 2008 9:02 PM EST

750k on Big Blue. Everyone thinks it'll be a blow out. Not me...

Absalom Kumalo February 1 2008 9:12 PM EST

Pack fan at heart so I guess I'll have to go with a team that DIDN'T destroy the chances of my Superbowl Sunday being fun...so Patriots are going to win by 14+ points. (Contrary to Plaxico's 23-17 prediction :p).

TheHatchetman February 1 2008 10:08 PM EST

hehe... Plaxico's missing a digit on the Patriots' score... Total blowout for NE...

TheHatchetman February 1 2008 11:01 PM EST

oh, and the Giants didn't destroy the Pack's chance at a super bowl... I'm a Packers fan myself, and it was bad decision making by the offensive coordinator's fault. Probably Brett's fault as well (as much as I hate to place blame on my favorite player in the NFL of all time...), on account he has the final say in what a play will be...

"Okay, it's third and long... Let's throw it to the flat and hope he can make a move on six guys..."

Favre going for the longball all day didn't help much either... He is the master of the short slant route, which would've eaten the Giants up the way they were playing. This would have been adjusted of course, to suit. But the Packers should have never let that game even go to overtime, even if Tynes had made those 2 FGs...

The Giants were outmatched.
The Packers were outplayed.

[RX3]Cotillion February 1 2008 11:05 PM EST

When I see a pass to the flats or a running play on 3rd and long, I almost always want to put my foot through the t.v. Watching some Cowboy games (Giants are my favorite, but I do live in Tejas you know) just drove me crazy...

You are right about the short slants and the Giants... They opened up with those short passes and were eating field like nothing... They should have kept it up...

[P]Mitt February 2 2008 12:08 AM EST

750k with RedX13.

1.25M remains unspoken for :)

[P]Mitt February 2 2008 10:32 AM EST

Bionuker February 3 2008 12:41 PM EST

[P]Mitt February 3 2008 12:54 PM EST

All on their Giants +9.5 over my Patriots!

QBRanger February 3 2008 2:08 PM EST

I would be happy to bet if you gave the appropriate amount of points, 12.5!

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] February 3 2008 2:31 PM EST

thought the spread was 14?

Mikel [Bring it] February 3 2008 9:30 PM EST

it's not looking like the pats are going to cover the spread. And I'm thinking if they win, it'll be barely.

TheHatchetman February 3 2008 9:36 PM EST

I'm thinking they will win, but I'm also hoping they lose by 3... Just for that cocky 4th down play...

[P]Mitt February 3 2008 10:08 PM EST

Ugh, well that's too bad :P

Mitt (Mittar) 71.202.240.77 TinTizzy (The Don) $750000 -- Congrats! 10:08 PM EST
Mitt (Mittar) 71.202.240.77 Bionuker (PSI) $500000 -- Congrats! 10:07 PM EST
Mitt (Mittar) 71.202.240.77 [RX3] RedX13 (Ruins) $750000 -- Congrats! 10:06 PM EST

Nice bets guys, maybe we can do this in the future :)

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] February 3 2008 10:13 PM EST

So who won the fantasy football?

[RX3]Cotillion February 3 2008 11:00 PM EST

Go Giants Go... Guess all those lickin's the d line put on Brady got in his head. :P)

Tom Brady wasn't playing like Tom Brady today. I'm just glad that the Giants won without any calls or penalties that can be considered cheap... Like that Seattle/Pittsburgh Superbowl...

[RX3]Cotillion February 3 2008 11:18 PM EST

I would also like to add that I believe Eli Manning wholly deserved the MVP of Superbowl XLII. When he pulled out of that would-be sack late in the fourth quarter AND made the completion (which was also spectacular beyond recognition) I almost crapped my pants.
