Do RoBF loose to all mages (in General)

apparently i've been hearing that RoBF loose to all mages, and that RoBF is useless against mage teams.

is this true?

not quite; the RoBF does grant 20 pc protection against DD damage, couple that with a big AMF, and you can trump your opponents. However, SFBM or CoC mages do succeed against the RoBF strat because their huge DD can overcome the AMF of the RoBF users.

also if that is true i also hear that

a CoC team can beat a RoBF at around 1/2 MPR

SFBM at 2/3 MPR

and MM teams at 4/5 MPR

I've had no expirence with ROBF after significant lvl, so I don't know how powerful is the magic damage reduction

It all depends on the situation... a SFBM is not gonna beat a 4 minion robf team if it trains a decent amf along with it... there would be to much spread from all 4 minions for the FB damage to break the Robf 20% reduction...

Let me put it like this, if the DD is high enough to over come the 20% reduction then its possible for the mage team to kill of an robf team.
However when your facing RoBF and GA and AMF then you die pretty quick.

Yes, the RoBF really bites against mages. RoBF minions should be allowed to equip the Mage Shield along with the tattoo in order to compensate.

It depends on the mage team. I have a 4-minion mage team, and I lose to ROBF users well below my PR/MPR. Since my xp is spread between multiple minions, I don't have a single spell that can overcome the magic resist of the ROBF. The ROBF has a very binary effect. It either works 100% or 0%, and against me it's 100%.

The answer to your question is 'NO.'

RoBF has a straight 20% of its level DD reduction at the end, which means if they've got enough AMF, an RoBF user can knock DD damage down to zero. That includes all of the DD spells.

However, most RoBF enchanter teams focus much more heavily on Evasion, so focused mage teams tend to be capable of beating the 20%. There's no set amount of MPR for that.

Thank you, that's what I thought.

Apparently what I heard was wrong, and the DD reduction is significant.
