A bunch of questions (in General)

Just a few CB questions in my head

Is MPR linear? In other words does a person with 2 million MPR have twice as much exp as a 1million MPR one?

If 4 minions with equal exp were in a team and I were to fire 1 would I lose 1/4 my MPR?

If i wanted to buy a 1.5 million MPR character with one minion roughly how much would it cost to hire a minion? If i did how much of a boost in MPR would it be?

Are forging bonuses based on MPR significant? would a 2 million MPR team be much more efficient that a 1.5 million MPR team?

About what are the rewards in the 1.5 - 2 million range? How come growth is so slow?

Ultimately, what does it take to get to 6 BA?

1> No

2> Just less I think

3> Not sure

4>No, not at all

5> A question of challenge bonuses really.... the chars with 3mil score are really hard to beat.

1. With the change of EXP cost it might now be linear, I am unsure.
2. Yes I believe you would.
3. See my FS thread for the cost, it is just over 25 million. The equation is roughly 3 cb2 for 1 exp point. So the minion would have roughly 8.3 million EXP after hiring. Your MPR would increase by approximately 10 to 12% for a single hiring an additional minion.
4. Yes, and yes, forging efficiency is directly related to MPR.
5. Rewards vary, growth is so slow due to a limited playing field in that range, very few players = few good targets.
6. Almost perfect execution of the NCB using a RoE

Sure fire way to get to 6/20:

Have 50mil for minion hiring and another 40mil for ba purchase.
Run SFBM with RoE. Fight in a top clan. You should end with 1.8-1.9mil mpr. Buy 2 minions and voila. It's quite a deal :)

"Ultimately, what does it take to get to 6 BA?"

Your life, i.e. RoE, high clan bonus, xp time only. This will take me a year to get there. I'm 3-4 months through that.

Ok, more original answers were too short but in light of some subsequent mis-information I will elaborate.

1)
Is MPR linear? In other words does a person with 2 million MPR
have twice as much exp as a 1million MPR one?

a: Before the costs were fixed at 12xp/point we had a reliable (and decidedly non-linear) formula for MPR vs XP. As the change
did not affect total XP of MPR this relationship has not changed.

2)
If 4 minions with equal exp were in a team and I were to fire 1 would I lose 1/4 my MPR?
a:
Because MPR/XP is non-linear your first 25mil xp will add more MPR than the next 25mil xp.... thus firing the fourth minion would reduce your MPR by less than 25%

3)
If i wanted to buy a 1.5 million MPR character with one minion roughly how much would it cost to hire a minion? If i did how much of a boost in MPR would it be?

a: I'll have to get back to you as I haven't looked at any of this...

4)
Are forging bonuses based on MPR significant? would a 2 million MPR team be much more efficient that a 1.5 million MPR team?

a: A 2mil MPR team is not significantly more efficient at forging... before the regen change the forge efficiency was shown to be linked most to the BA purchase cost (not studied for N*Bs). BA costs are still not linear vis-a-vis MPR so there is no reason to think forge results will have changed dramatically from the previous exploration.

Forging is base on BA cost not MPR

three4thsforsaken February 17 2008 3:26 PM EST

does that mean that all with different MPR but same BA regen will have the same forging?

Lochnivar February 17 2008 3:29 PM EST

not exactly... there are different BA costs in each regen bracket

I can give you a small clue on hiring minion :

Considering at 2.2mil MPR, these are my options:
Enlist for $40,752,284
Enlist for $16,300,913

So 1.5mil probably cost 60% of what I have.

And rewards depends on how good your equipment / strat is :) Never expect more than 10% , and don't be surprised for getting -5%

Ulord[NK] February 17 2008 10:51 PM EST

40mil ouch! Considering a successful ncb run costs 90mil, not too bad a price tag to jump into the big league. Another minion can really help your single UC :)

and 3 new minions will put him at 2.8 mil mpr ^_~
