A mil less PR and MPR... and it's not a problem...

Combined with a ToE the MsK makes familiar based mage teams pointless.

Check out how much Yanki is farming me. You beat me 10 times and lost once. Yanki is about 600K MPR below me and with my EC his tanks stats are pretty even with mine and yet his SoD wipes my entire team out in 4 or 5 rounds AND I am using a huge ToE.

Sorry he is about 350K mpr, not 600K.

The MsK is a very particular item, it is for killing familiars. It is very weak in many other areas.

You have a single item the negates 4 minions with about 13 million HP... that's crap.

if familiars weren't given the shaft when it came to the ELB I'd have a little less rage, but I'm getting hammered by anything with a Ranged attack for 5 rounds at this points... something has to change.

Novice, why not get some decent sized DBs on your junction minion? Since the MsK is +155, "decent" here means 180, coz my effective +163 DBs [+137 named and add +21 from a named AoI] allow a hit each round, but my 180 Evasion minion manages to evade all ranged hits from that MsK.

I have + 191 named displacement boots normally, and Glory is very close to beating me with those on... there is no hope to avoid the MsK.

I had to reink (yet again) just to give myself a temporary chance at survival... the IF is now securely back where it was when I picked it up ... in the trash heap.

Isn't this the whole rock-paper-scissors thing we all like about CB? My strategy is good against yours, weak against others. Yours pummels other strategies into the ground. There is no one uber strategy.

You would have to be actually really weak against someone else for that to be the case... meanwhile...

Lets see... You get a magic damage nerf, a percentage based reduction of my damage, PL, a ToE more buffed than ever... oh and an item that shoots my familiar for enough to do 5.4 million damage in six rounds.... utter crap.

perhaps more GA is the answer... your retaliation damage is only like 11%

Even if I did have my boots... they don't work in round one...

after all Jon has done for familiars the extension of ranged is a massive step backwards... were things really that unbalanced?

But that is no familiar is it now? That minion has 213 AC?

And a decent sized protection; at least a (20)....
