How about a new Tattoo! (in General)

Ok, so a bunch of ideas have been streaming through my head. And the only way to stop them sometimes is to push them off on you people, to be DESTROYED.
A new tattoo.
Beast of Burden: (or Warhorse) A familiar created that does not block or absorb damage. For all of your opponents attack purposes, it doesn't exist. BoB (lol, I REALLY JUST NOTICED THAT!) increases the wearers effective AC by 1 AC per x amount (maybe 100k) of level. So a 500k BoB would give 5 extra AC. It also increases your Max encumbrance! By how much... I don't know. But imagine a tank on horseback. He could carry more because he's not bearing the entire load by himself. Effects apply only to the wearer. To make it more attractive to mages and not just be a tank buff, maybe if the wearer casts only DD (instead of wielding any weapon) the effective AC is doubled.
Hmm, I think there should be more... but my head hurts.

nice idea... but it'd have to do more

Ooh ooh Encumbrance-centred tattoo :D. Pretty!

But, I would have to change the AC-adding mechanism to take into account very large tattoos.. o__o. Of course, it seems like a reasonable idea :). Very good way of substituting AC without paying NW, so you're losing less from your armor/cloak slot than what another tattoo would give. And it would allow certain people to equip those big weapons they'd recently disenchanted.. :P

I like it :D

but doesn't ToA do the same thing enc wise?

Give it some endurance, not nearly as much as a ToE but some, and extend the encumbrance to the whole team - make it a horse and chariot. Would make 'heavy' teams less of a...headache.

Actually, the proposed AC amount is not bad considering that the tattoo wearer will not be able to equip body armors, cloaks, nor power shields.

I kinda felt that too Nov, but didn't wanna throw something out that was just silly. (who, me, silly???) I think adding a percentage of Endurance (obviously less than the ToE with no aura effect).

I'd like to see it have a charge effect (let melee hit earlier)... but can't figure what that would have to do with levels

You're right :P. I didn't notice that J'bob referred to a variable NW for the BoB~

As for mage-usefulness.. I don't think we'd use it much anyway. At least not past 1mil MPR or anything ;x. Unless you're going crazy with upping those lovely AGs/NSCs (Novice :3) and you've got USD-boosted DBs.

I really do like the idea of an ENC-based Tattoo. I think the MAIN purpose of it should be to increase ENC, and I believe applying it to the whole team is a good way to do so~.

have the tat level compare to the foremost minions dexterity to determine if an early hit takes place...
