randome melee damage testing (in General)

i will retrain slain2, my tourney character to all hp and unequip his gear. if someone would start a tourney character and throw a base weapon on him, hit me some and get some data points posted here that would be great.

This is my tripple hit vs this person and I kill them. I am thinking the 716k hit is because the minion is dead after the 2nd hit so it spikes. So just look at the 406,165 and 408,359.

Now here is my 2nd attack on this person. Notice how the damage is 341k and 378k instead of 400k. That's a good amount of randomness and it's just 1 fight. I could have fought this person over and over and gotten a better judge, and I probably will. Just wanted to show some randomness.

This is 3 seperate attacks... All my stats are base and his char just has hp... with a base dagger..... The attacks are from 5 to 8.. there is randomness. Thank you and goodnight

well. this thread died down... I guess the attacks from the tourney chars kinda settled it. good to see this argument shouldn't come up again. on to the next one. lol

so on base weapon damage we see a randomness of 62.5 % to 100% at least with that data set. that is pretty darned close the the dd's randomness of 50% to 100% that is stated. thanks for checking it sox! now we know and i will try not to state that as a difference between melee and magic damage again.

i am getting my tourney character back to what it was with spells and equipment as of now.
