Forging efficiency (in General)

Is the term "forging efficiency" explained anywhere in the WIKI?

Brakke Bres [Ow man] April 25 2008 9:31 AM EDT

Nope per item the efficiency differs.

I think it's self explanatory?

It's not really self explanatory, someone has the equation, but I do not know who, but i would like it if they could share it, =)

I understood it as NW Added per BA Cost

three4thsforsaken April 25 2008 10:01 AM EDT

that's different for any given character, due to different MPR

BA cost is different, but so is the rate that you forge at. My understanding was that they scaled together.

they do ^_^

well, to find out, I guess some forgers of different mpr can forge the x of the same item and work things out from the data.

At the very least you could say something like a 1.0 is average, higher than that means it is more easily forged, lower than that means it is more difficult to forge. The numbers mean nothing to a newbie.

Does a 1.1 forge efficiency mean the item takes 10% less time to forge than an item with a 1.0 efficiency?

Shadowsparkle [Jago] April 25 2008 4:48 PM EDT

Divide your NW per BA through your cost per BA. You get a number over 1.0 if you forge more NW then you pay per BA. The higher the better. Thats all.

miteke [Superheros] April 25 2008 5:00 PM EDT

so an item with a 1.1 forge efficiency will net you 10% additional NW per BA than a 1.0? That's useful. I think I'll use that fact in future pricing strats should I forge some more.
