Jiu-Jitsu is a good martial art to learn. Its on of the really good ones. You learn something that isn't diluted to make it not so deadly.

kind of like Judo. But I think Judo is a branch of Jiujitsu itself, Jiujitsu goes far back. It's the original unarmed combat technique trained only by the most prestige families of samurai. Talk about original UC hehe

Indeed. It was a toss between Jiu-Jitsu and Akido. I thought there would be more cardio in a Jiu-Jitsu class so I opted for that. I was correct. /me will feel the pain for the next few days.

I've studied Jiu-Jitsu for years now and I love it. I'd almost rather be in the dojo then in front of this monitor. : )

Jiu-Jitsu is brutal! It's an art based around grappling, and basically is a self defense based on literally breaking the enemy. It's very valuable, especially for a women, I've talked to many women who take it to prevent rape. I want my sister to learn it...

I really want my sister to take classes too.

So which jiu-jitsu is it? Japanese or Brazilian. I take BJJ, and love every minute of it. Oh yea and don't worry you'll get used to beng like a pretzel.
