What song moves me?? (in Contests)
The rules are simple. The first person to name a song that i really like wins 1 mil cb$. I will point out something, there are 2 ways this can happen, by randomly guessing one of my favourite songs. or by introducing me to something great and new ( to me ).
I just need a song title and an artist.
Beast and the Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold
Hysteria by Muse
The White One is Evil by Elliot Minor
One Winged Angel from Final Fantasy (It's Sephiroth's song! You must like it!)
Gasolina (Remix) by Daddy Yankee featuring Pitbull and N.O.R.E.
Just some songs that I enjoy. :)

You know that Sigur Ros are giving a free track at the moment? It's called Gobbledigook and it's pretty damn good.
Sigur Ros' Hoppipolla never fails to move me so I'll suggest that as a possibility for one of your favourites.
In the meantime if you want something actually along similar lines to them go and search out Talk Talk. Their albums: The Colour of Spring, Spirit of Eden and
Laughing Stock are all beautiful records, moving in the same sort of area as Sigur Ros.
If you want song and title then check out "happiness is easy" by Talk Talk.

Oh and the free track is at their website and it really is a good track. It says sign -up is required but it's minimal input needed.
Looks like their next album might be a good one.

The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve always moves wifey to tears.
On a side note,
Bittersweet Symphony by the same group always "moves me" too.
Don't you just want to slap the lead singer in their video ? I love the song though :)

Falling Away with You, by Muse.
Man, this song just hits me everytime.
IMO, acoustic demo's are the most raw and moving music you can listen to.
Smashing Pumpkins - "Let me give the world to you", and "Once in a while" :) - The later because I'm trying to figure out how to play it. GOOD STUFF! :D

+44 - Make you smile
For a band defined as punk, I think this is a simply amazing song.
Hatch, I already submitted that second one to the contest.

Drop and Anchor
Punchlines
Hoarding it For Home
Fraud in the 80s
and one from Okkervil River (if you are a researcher, it has that much more punch, but not required):
John Allyn Smith Sails
(after writing this, I am leaning towards the OR song...saw it live. OR eclipsed the New Pornographers in energy that night...)

After listening to everything i wasn't familiar with Jonnywas wins, I listened to the whole song, I hadn't really heard talk talk before. I can guess that lots of newer bands have been influenced by them. Rick Astley is great to, damn rick rollers!!!. I grew up near where he was born:) Sending the cash to your main char Jonny:)

Hey!! Nice surprise to wake up to!!!! Thanks!
Talk Talk are one of those 'quiet' influences. There's quite a lot of the so-called 'post rock' bands influenced by them, even if they don't often talk about them. If you liked that check out another band Elbow. Well worth checking out if you haven't.
