Beserker's helm (in General)

Úlfhéðnar Warriors Helm [5] (+11)

Adds to offensive dexterity at a rate of 3% per plus.
Reduces defensive dexterity by the same amount...

QBOddBird June 2 2008 4:01 AM EDT

Wooooooot

I'm ALL for it

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] June 2 2008 4:01 AM EDT

And here I am thinking this was the new Supporter item! ;)

{cb1}Linguala June 2 2008 8:15 AM EDT

lol Gentleman, same here :-)

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] June 2 2008 9:39 AM EDT

Might as well add to the Elven gategory.

QBOddBird June 2 2008 11:25 AM EDT

Pau1 - the idea is it only adds to one kind of dexterity and takes from another. It's far from the same as an elven gear.

three4thsforsaken June 2 2008 11:28 AM EDT

uhh, what's to stop us to take it off after fighting?

QBOddBird June 2 2008 11:33 AM EDT

Nothing? ;'P

It would still affect your rate of hit during your fight, even if you did take it off for other fights ;)

three4thsforsaken June 2 2008 11:36 AM EDT

i meant taking it off so the defensive penalty doesn't apply. Though the more I think about I really like this offensive boost concept. It moves the game away from all the "win or stale" concept.

QBOddBird June 2 2008 11:38 AM EDT

Right, I know what you're saying 3/4....I was saying even though you could do that it would still affect your def. DX during your own fights. ;'P

And I agree, anything to move the game into an offensive direction...

Lord Bob June 4 2008 8:21 PM EDT

Maybe the plus should add to a weapon's accuracy instead of just grating Dex. It would help combat Evasion a little.

That's how I think the Helm of Clearsight should have worked.

[RX3]Cotillion June 4 2008 8:26 PM EDT

There's defensive dexterity in every battle 3/4th. It's how much accumulative dexterity you have from your items + your base dex v.s. your opponents minions offensive dexterity. It's not when a different character attacks you.

If you mean something else, then I apologize.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 4 2008 8:26 PM EDT

What would the downside be? It also adds to opponents to hit?

Wizard'sFirstRule June 4 2008 8:51 PM EDT

sounds fair, I am soooo getting one of those.

lostling June 4 2008 8:58 PM EDT

dont like this idea... it is just another mage bashing idea -.- so you sacrifice defensive dexterity... big deal... this enables you to hit a mage.... and since mages use magical attacks the defensive dexterity of a tank NEVER matters

Wizard'sFirstRule June 4 2008 9:03 PM EDT

make it reduce AMF backlash targetting the minion or increase damage taken maybe? so you hit more often, but you take hits more often and more damage. this makes having meat shields in front of that minion important

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 4 2008 9:13 PM EDT

I was considering earlier what could be done to make the penalties a little better... maybe a hefty penalty to hit in ranged as well

lostling June 4 2008 9:17 PM EDT

lol then whats the point... make it like this

Warriors Helm [5] (+11)

adds to damage at a rate of 3% per plus.
increases all damage done to it by the same amount :)
including ROBF, AM, GA blah

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] June 4 2008 9:23 PM EDT

hmm old style BL helm... we should have one of those too

the point of it was to offer a counter to the AoF with similar penalties... just increasing damage wouldn't do that

Amulet of the Wolf Fang anyone?

lostling June 4 2008 9:52 PM EDT

then call it something other then beserker's helm =x
