I know it was yet another layer of damage reduction but it was able to be dispelled.
It was a choice characters had. Use DM to dispel it or AMF and not be able to.
I personaly fell this was a fairly nice sized nerf to DM characters and was just wondering out loud, so to type, why you choose to get rid of it.
I know most things you do not discuss, but perhaps this one time you can pacify me :)))
there's only so much complexity the damage model can take before it starts feeling clunky and unwieldy. protection was low hanging fruit to simplify things a little. the choices we can afford with the "complexity budget" this frees up are more interesting than protection was.

Just out of curiosity, what is the Damage Budget's current ENC level?
Would training more strength allow us to keep Prot?
