SoC versus Physical damage (in General)

I've got a couple of questions with regards tot he SoC absorbtion and some physical damage in CB.

1: If a SoC minion attacks with a Physical attack (and even deals more SoC damage), and the target has GA, the SoC minion will take Physical Damage in return. This GA Physical damage is reduced by AC. Is it also reduced and absorbed by a SoC?

2: The RBF now deals Physical damage (I assumed it was fire, like the SoD splash). Is this damage reduced and absorbed by a SoC?

So as you can see, the SoC does nothing vs the RBF.

:( Jon, is that intended? The RBF does do Physical Damage doesn't it? (And would be a nice way of slipping in something to deal with the unreturnable RBF damage, without really neutering it).

As you can see, GA does not apply to the Shields special ability.

And yes, I changed the name of the bow he was using due to the spellchecker.

As far as I was aware, the RBF damage was its own type of damage, neither physical nor magical.
The only change I noticed was that SoD damage wasn't working as physical damage.

I think Jon may have mistyped when he was discussing the RBF as being "physical damage".

It is a "new" type of damage, immune to AMF, MGS, GA, and EC.

Only Jon can confirm my suspicion that it is not really physical in nature.

Yeah, I assumed that the RBF had it's own type, but saw jon listed it as Physical in the changelog (I still think it would be a neat way to address the unreturnable nature of it's damage... Unless the So gets massively buffed! lol!)

But surely as AC reduces Physical GA damage by the full amount (base + enchantment) the SoC should do the same?

Perhaps the SoC's special ability is a special newer type of damage in the same realim as the RBF?

Could be, but then it's increased by BL.

Plus the SoC should absorb the GA from the damage of the normal Physical hit that transfered the extra SoC damage anyway. :/
