Congratulations for making one of the VERY few to ever make it to my ignore list. I am very tolerant, but even I have a limit.

I agree, let's have the ignore message removed.

That way people aren't alerted and they can't make stupid threads like these, and one person can just do what the /ignore function was intended for: stop seeing the person's messages.

also, it is currently possible to silently spam one's chat box by pasting "/ignore JS" (just an example, not a suggestion) in chat a bajillion times, as nobody else gets the message... :P
