I was thinking of adding a spell to my archer so I wouldn't get hit so much by mages with DD spells. I was thinking Dispel Magic, but i want to know if anyone else has tips on what I should do.

Dispel Magic only effects enchantments, not DD.

I would recommend replacing your Lesser Ice Familiar with a Tattoo of Augmentation(not lesser), and sell your katana so that you can upgrade your bow more, maybe rent a Helm of Clearsight as well.

I see sarcasm, quite unwanted I assume.
To protect against direct damage spells, use AMF, or Anti-Magic Field. It lowers the damage taken from Direct Damage spells, and returns that damage back to the caster.

I didn't mean to sound sarcastic in your thread and I apologize. If you want the best advice I can give look at Soxjr's character. No amf there and he's the best single minion archer.

Still, no spells here either - just massive amounts of ST ;)

The best spell against DD is killing them before they can kill you.

Because you only have 1 minion Anti-Magic Field will do you less good than otherwise.
Perhaps you could try out a Mage Shield, it helps against mage spells.
Otherwise I'd say more HP and better armor and higher bow damage :)

Why exactly will AMF work less well with a single minion? It doesn't matter how the damage spreads, does it? Unless you mean in conjunction with other things, like... the ToE perhaps?

True you use it in conjunction.
But for an Archer, your primary stats will be HP, ST, DX and Archery.
Not much space for AMF otherwise you'd dillute your exp too much...
