What changes do you want to see on CB? (in General)

Rule 1: Do not post anything regarding battling/strategy.

Okay. So, I don't know about you, but I think there's enough talk over all this "CB is unbalance" stuff. So, let's talk about the changes we want to see on CB, besides battling/strategy.

I'll start. I want to see a link to my user page in the sidebar. Unless one already exists, and I'm just completely oblivious.

i want to see a refresh sidebar link in the sidebar to save me and my poor mouse 3 clicks in firefox.

i want to see a box for users to submit entries into the dictionary for the spellcheck so i can enter everything in lowercase.

i want to see partial untrains.

hmm, i know there are others.

Until Verifex's script came along I asked for this many many times: just search for Johnnywas Is Lazy Link! Then the script enabled me to do this and added a refresh button for the sidebar.

But now Jon is incorporating much of the script functions I used I no longer enable the script so I'll second both the user page link and a refresh sidebar button!!

tighter integration with the wiki so I can find a way to use it for char and user bios...

I second partial retrains, and I want the grey bar around chat gone.

I want to see a New User/Character Bonus that isn't within a set timeframe. This eliminates the increasing bonus percentage.

I want to see AC reconfigured so that it doesn't extend to a possibility of blocking 100% of physical or magical damage. For example, heavy armor could theoretically be upgraded to block 80% of physical and 40% of magical; light armor, the inverse.

On the same note, I'd like to see weapons limited as well. Unlimited weapons = forever putting more NW into a weapon, which causes a user to become permanently attached to that weapon. Perhaps this would shift focus from weapon damage to weapon properties, and base damage would increase in importance as well.

I'd like to see a change - overall - in damage reduction. The whole system, really.

I want the BA to refresh without refreshing the whole page or fighting when I come back to my computer. e.g. After burning all my BA, I go to lunch. It'd be nice to see how many BA I have without hitting refresh.

OB, that's all strategy. I would've thought it was sarcasm, but you answered that all seriously.

I think OB missed Rule 3.

I want a button that blows up CB2.

Also, I'd like a search feature for the wiki. It'd make it much easier for new users, and it is something even veteran players could use.

Pixel - I suppose then, you meant visual and linkage only? I thought you just meant like "what is balanced/unbalanced."

If I don't understand Rule 1, I'll never get Rule 3 ;)

I second search for wiki. Going to google to search the wiki isn't user friendly at all, and most wouldn't think about it. Is there a way to integrate google search into the website? I'm sure there is...

I say we make it entirely 3D, with uber space aliens that have every DD spell currently in the game!

Let's say what lots of people have been saying and put PR/MPR on the sidebar.

Also, a button to refresh the score of enemies would be nice.

Refreshing the sidebar would refresh the scores, I believe.

Doesn't work for me. I have to change my fight list to get the scores to refresh.

More competitions - and if I have the time - I might organize some. Maybe some CB fan-art, fan-fiction, etc. based competitions.

I'm liking the gradual evolution of the theme engine too! And I truly hope it's flexible and customizable, well at least more so than the last.

I'd like to see more tournaments too! With the seperate BA set - allows clan members to participate without hindering their CP tally.

i want to c some more themes to choose from, i back the idea of a search for the wiki as well as a more updated and advanced dictionary. Cosidering the room in the side bar i would love to c something like this for currently selected minion

Merge the Equip and Train page. I made a mock up and posted a Screen Shot of what it could look like ages ago. ;)

Oh and changign the colour of 'greyed out' used buttons. The font is far too close to the button colour.

Sad, but makes perfect sense.

The wiki could also use a "Go" button to go along with the search so if it's the exact name of a page it automatically goes to the page.

I would welcome an achievements-like system on the account page. Like "Owner of the 3rd Most Valuable Blacksword of N..." or "Wealthiest Fellow in the Hills of the Shire." I know we can access these kind of stats by going to home, but just having them like badges whenever somebody has to visit your page would be neat. It's like "Wow, really? I didn't know you had that..."

Another thing that would be just awesome is Highest Winning Streak. I don't think there's anybody who doesn't want it.

thanks lucario, that reminded me of one of my big desires in game. i would love to see a highest minion stat. as i stated in an earlier thread we can change the current title of mpr in character attributes page to "team mpr" and then also have the current doing the new job. this way i wouldn't have to always say "as far as i know, i have the largest minion in the game!"

On the Equip page, display NW's as default where it now displays 'none' in the drop down... Example of idea.

Familiars on the equip/train page. It'd make figuring out stuff with junction a little easier.

I would like to see a "scribbler tax" whereby whenever a playing fights, $20 cb would go to me. I would use this money to be incredibly rich. I would make a minion of solid gold and he would crush you common folk.

I would love to see a mass "update stats" button. Keeping my challenge bonus at a significant level is tough when I can't see the actual scores of the people i'm fighting unless I go through and update every single one individually. (that doesn't count as strategy I hope?)

This idea has probably been put forth already. I didn't read all the posts yet, I'll do that quickly right now. But yeah, it should be in.

+1 to dudemus' and Lucario's ideas. I definitely second those.

I want some sort of temporary goals on the game. That used to be getting the next valuable item for me, and it isn't any longer. I'd like to see an item released every couple of months that you 'quest' to obtain - attain X number of CPs, log in X number of hours, maintain X winning ratio over a period of time. Whatever. Just something to spice things up :)

It'd be awesome if there was a way to include the actual search box itself on that page, but I've got no clue what it would take to insert the html...

I'd like to see AMF's effect displayed on the train/equip page as compared to an average DD spell, as opposed to a question mark. Not sure how this would be done or how accurate it would be, but it would be nice to see what kind of reduction/damage you can expect against DD spells around your MPR range.

You know the links it gives you when you hover over Businesses, Auctions, Clans, etc...? Well when you click the main link, not the "hover-links", those same "hover-links" are available to you at the page you are taken to.

*Except* for community. I would like those "hover-links" available while hovering over community, to be available on the community page as well.

Let me explain, if you care. I often play 6 or more feet away from my monitor. So to make the screen visible, i put my monitor at 800x600 resolution. But when playing at this resolution the community links are hidden behind the bulbous dead-space around chat.

So, implementing this would make my life much easier.


Oh, oh, and when I log on I want the theme music from Super Mario World to play.

I'd like clicking Home to refresh my BA so I don't have to try a fight or do the right-click-select-two-options-to-refresh-the-pane to see where my ba is at (or maybe a "refresh" button next to the (get more) display).

Oh, and on the training page rather than just loading a training set and then hitting apply, it would be nice to have a button next to "load" that says "execute" which loads and applies. Maybe even put a shortcut for a selected set on the main nav frame so that you don't have to go to the train page at all unless you want to change your default training selection.

On the subject of tunics... I'd like a 2007 CB T shirt; never got mine cause I was afk that week apparently =P

I still think that while it looks slick as heck, the moving around of Equip and Home (was/is) counter-intuitive. Without changing the content of these pages, something could be done to remedy that.

-The Equip page should be named Home.

-The Home page should be named anything else that makes sense. Data, or Town Center, whatever.

As it is, to me at least, "Home" is 100 kilometers away from what the page actually displays. My "Home" should be where I keep my bling and homies, not where I get data on all that's happening. My TV or the papers do that :)

An automatic system limitation on the number of times in a given period, let's say a week, one can start a thread on the same subject.

Also, there is a part on the out of BA page that says something like : "You can buy additional BA by clicking the bug BA link....bla bla bla"

As I try new games , I know that seeing the words "buy" and "turns" in the same sentence make me go : "Gah, you are so not getting my money." Followed by a closure of the page. I do know that's a retarded reaction but I hate pay-for-extra-turns games, and I am sure I'm not the only one.

Maybe adding a small part saying: ".....with CB money." would be good?

It IS a very small thing to be complaining about I know, but EVERY small part counts when trying to get us new newbies around :)

i would give this a hearty two thumbs-up and if this is not possible can we have a blah, blah, blah filter? it would act kinda like an ignore list but would just turn all posts by those on your blah list to blah, blah, blah...etc. then we could add a stat to see who is on the most people's blah list! ; )
