Bugs with a new user and tutorial (in General)

i want to make a new one cause this one is mess up i cant make a minion i cant retire my minion i cant even inspect the char. casue it says error and the train page says No unretired Characters. but ineed my email adress so please admin delete this account

As part of the rules, you cannot make another account.

If you do, the admins will just delete the new on and reset your old one.


But it sounds like you are having difficulties with your character, so the best thing to do is just sit tight and wait for an admin to come and try to help you figure it out.

I have enlisted 1 minion on one of your characters. I think your problem is solved.

And what Hakai said is true, you can't have this one deleted to make another one.

nothing happen i still have a blank on the top leftand cant hit train or equip

Do you know how to take and post a screenshot?

If not, I can walk you through it in chat. Or can you not access chat either?

Can you make a screenshot? It might make it easier to see what might be wrong?

Perhaps also try to log out and log back in?
Clear cache of old cookies? (stale cookies are baaad)
Refresh using F5?

i did logging in and out refreshing makes it look the same

Didn't this happen before when somebody didn't finish the tutorial?

i havent finished the tutorial (i had a ranged character for a while and it still wouldnt say i used ranged in combat) so my tutorial is messed up but i can still play

A screenshot would help a ton here, as it is quite hard to understand what he is saying.

Also, why not just reset his account anyways? It might help.

If you have problems with the tutorial then either specify which problems or follow what the tutorial tells you... :)

Sounds like we need a button to skip a step in the tutorial.

Just make a new character named 'tempchar' and finish the tutorial by hiring a new minion on that. It'll cost you... what, $100?

It won't even cost that because you get a tiny bit of money with the new character.

100$ is nothing.. but the fact that the tutorial is messing with newbies sucks!

Honestly the tutorial isn't messing with the new players, the new players are messing with the totorial.

If the tutorial tells you to enlist a new minion, just follow it and get rid of it again if you want...

i made another char and trained another minion but its still not working :( can an admin plz help, no rush but would be nice to finish tutorial before i finish my NUB thanks

I tried everything as well. Jon had to fix mine, there was no way around it.

I think the tutorial needs an overhaul and it should set newbies up with a single minion mage and ask them what DD they want.

There's definite problems with this account.

I was able to retire a character and then hire a new one however it's bugged and unable to fight.

Needs one of the progs to look into the detail and sort it out for you.

Changed thread title to attract their attention and posted on the admin board with a link here too.

I think I have a way it can work but it won't be a rush indeed...

What you can try is retire your main character and remove all minions from your other 'new' tutorial character.
Your account will see no active characters and trigger the tutorial again, if you then train your minion and get a second minion it might (should) pop it further.

If you then let me know to unretire your good character then I'll help you as soon as I can (I should be awake early enough tomorrow).

i dont mind waiting until its fixed theres no rush its not really affecting my game or anything it just has that stupid hire a minion msg at the stop of my screen, im just confused why the tutorial would make you hire a minion
