Question. (in General)

So if jon is the creator of this game why doesnt he play his own game a little more competitively?

It might be difficult to be subjective when are have the full admin power + a competitive team. Oh my god, SFBM is beating me, it must be so over-powered (nerf). Oh my god, why isn't my dagger with + 2000 x 20000 beating LA (boost). I exaggerated, but I think it would be the reason.

OR it might have something to do with running a game like this and constantly trying to think of new and exciting stuff to counter or augment the old and exciting stuff. :D


or he might have a job that pays the REAL bills? but who really knows.

In CB1, Jon wound up creating a 400K PR character and gave him two named Lochaber Axes, to do some "testing" (I believe).

Plus, don't you think that knowing everything about everything would make things a little... boring? :)

And even if I *were* objective, there are some players who are always willing to believe the worst.

I think central bank is plenty competitive ^^

But truthfully, when you play a game you are in complete control with AND are entailed to maintain it, it isn't that much fun.

He'd be 1st the whole time, and although it would give Ranger something else to fill the forums with, people would probably believe the worst. :| Cannot say it better than the man himself.

I agree with lostling. it would spice things up around here. I have been gone for a year I come back and who is on top Ranger as usual. Its all the same.

ranger isnt the top anymore LA took that over and yea beating jon in his own game would be nice :p

How do you know Jon isn't playing?

Though I doubt he'll ever play competitively, I think if you dabbled more, Jonathan, it would make it easier to see the game from a player's point of view. More perspective on in-game issues can never hurt.

Indeed, Jon has played this game seriously in the past. When CB2 was a newborn, Jon was my clanmate!

If I ever made a game, I wouldn't play it either; you end up knowing too much about it that it's not fun.

1) He has a job. You know, working a lot during the week so he doesn't have time to play?

2) He has a family. That takes up almost all of his free time besides work, more than likely.

3) Who cares? He made the game, constantly updates it, keeping it fun, so why bother him about the fact that he doesn't kick our butts in it?

I think you could even say that during changemonths he is "playing" with all our characters ;-)

we have often likened jon to our creator god here in the cb universe. is it not blasphemy to demand our creator come down from his pinnacle and dwell with us mere mortals and partake in our daily trials and tribulations?
