weapon request (in General)

Yes, it is selfish because it would be quite useful for me and I can't imagine I am the first to request this: Mageseeker Crossbow.

I would love it and treat it very nice and never forget its birthday.

just use the Mageseeker

Lord Bob August 21 2008 6:53 PM EDT

What the last guy said.

mikes wanton rage August 21 2008 7:06 PM EDT

wouldn't that require archery?

winner winner August 21 2008 7:11 PM EDT

yeah

mikes wanton rage August 21 2008 7:12 PM EDT

then there's the rub. Im a UC.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 21 2008 7:13 PM EDT

can't be good at everything...

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 21 2008 7:14 PM EDT

there is the AXbow... not likely to do much, but with all the evasion around the mages might be the ones with the most dex (assuming you can hit them)

iBananco [Blue Army] August 21 2008 7:22 PM EDT

Then make it drain 1/33% of the target's DD per x per hit.

mikes wanton rage August 21 2008 7:32 PM EDT

yeah, Nov, I came to this request b/c my axbow was missing quite a few of the mages down here on my lvl. I've been gone a while so after the initial happiness of realizing I no longer needed to pay for ammo, I remembered there used to be ammo that went looking for mages. I may be wrong but I thought some of that ammo worked for xbows too.

As far as not being able to be good at everything, I must disagree. Mages are good at never missing, as well as being good at always hitting.

winner winner August 21 2008 7:40 PM EDT

except they're not good at doing more damage then tanks

Tyriel [123456789] August 21 2008 7:49 PM EDT

You don't *have* to use Archery with a Mageseeker.

You just won't be able to hit as much with it.

You'd still hit Evasion-less and DB-less mages with it, though.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 21 2008 7:53 PM EDT

I'll be obkaybe with a dd draining xbow the day I can get a 100%+ bonus to my DD (without extra vulnerability to AMF) and hit multiple times a round...

that being said, I do think the current implementation of specialty bows is a bit silly.

three4thsforsaken August 21 2008 8:29 PM EDT

A sling that hits random targets! I would love that.

NIG August 21 2008 9:32 PM EDT

Haha, if you implemented this, you'd have to train a DD, because the Amount of DD drained would be based on yours, and the x of your weapon.
So you'd probably not get enough drain anyways.

iBananco [Blue Army] August 21 2008 9:37 PM EDT

Except axbows don't rely on DX to drain. Nor do exbows rely on ST. All you need is 1 damage.
