dont use mm it is by far the weakest DD, your single minion backlash isnt a problem so i think you should use FB, or you could make a tank im still getting 100% challenge bonus and im 1.3m MPR and im a tank using a RoE

MM is far better at fighting up, if you find targets with their damage dealer in the back for example.
I don't get the whole obsession with FB, it's not really a great spell considering GA or the ToE, and I'd rather kill the damage dealer first rather than the whole team at once. Of course higher up you have MM walls to deal with, but that's no problem down low.

I've been using MM for over a year. FB just doesn't cut it against my targets.
