AG vs NSC (in General)

Because I don't have the resources to test both, I was wondering what which between the two would work better with a (currently nonjunctioned, but possibility of future junction) MM Mage with my setup EMW. Is one better than the other, always? Or is one better when with a junctioned familiar? Please and thanks!

rule of thumb NSC is almost always better, since you'll always be fighting an AMF that is larger than your DD :(, backlash damage makes me sad.

But since MM doesn't have as much backlash, AG might be worth it...maybe...

It worked great when i used my AGs on my main mage and NSC on my junction ed SF.

Well if I was to junction, the junctioned minion would be the Mage itself, wouldn't it?

Quick kill setups almost always deserve the AG.

The NSC are occasionally helpful however, Relic's char Toast uses them to some of the greatest effect I've seen outside of the familiar based teams.

If your DD is much smaller than enemy AMF, then NSC is better.
If your DD and enemy AMF is roughly the same size (0.4-0.6 AMF effect without AG/NSC on), there's no significant difference between the two.
If your DD is noticeable larger than enemy AMF, then AG is better.

Personally I've found NSCs to be the better option. I'm a little allergic to taking damage, so any means to reduce damage taken is preferable!

The level you're fighting at can make a difference though. At lower levels I'd say more damage more damage. But higher up where AMFs are pretty large NSCs can help maintain your damage output. I do more damage pound for pound with NSCs junctioned on my team than I did with similar sized AGs.

Ok thanks!
