BMVG - 09/17/08 - Mageseeker (in General)

This thread is merely to publicize the item in the BLACK MARKET that currently has the most votes. If you know what the Black Market is, please go there and vote (preferably for the item with the most votes) so that we can get it spawned as rapidly as possible.

If you don't know what the Black Market is, then go to "Community" and select "Black Market" to learn.

Current high votes goes to Mageseeker with 4.

Do we really need to spawn another mageseeker?

Doubtful... but it does have the most votes... Do we really need another EH?

Get enough in there voting for something else and I'll publicize that instead. :-) Just don't shoot the messenger (at least not with a Mageseeker)!!

I'll just stat right now that I will not vote for the Msk just for the sheer fact that it takes 173 votes just to spawn the damn thing... its almost bad enough that we could get 2 EB's out in the time it takes to get one msk out...

many people have tried different versions of the bmvg and none of them are perfect. the current setup seems to be least offensive of them all.

i wonder exactly what you think withholding your votes will accomplish, it will just take longer for everyone else to spawn it and your votes will still be wasted?

if you are not part of the solution then you are likely part of the problem! if you have a better way of doing things present that.

i tend to think that the black market just needs to be scrapped entirely. it takes community support and that is something that has proven to be difficult to maintain for any amount of time.

I think it is more that not many people actually want a mageseeker.

I just don't think with it taking so many votes just to spawn one item is even worth the try... it takes what... almost 2 weeks for the item to be spawned and that's with everyone that is active voting on the item Twice...

Why not just scrap any item that is over say 125 votes and just vote in anything else that has enough votes. We have been through the entire voting process on some of the bigger vote count items and it does take weeks at times to get it to spawn. I just don't want to waste my time voting on a item that takes that long to spawn.

Nope...because
1. We already have a lot of them, there was one in auctions like 3 days ago.

2. Our votes could go to better use getting items that we need more of and have higher auction prices. A corn is like 2.7-3.2 or something around there where as the bow is lower than a mill.

3. We don't want to hear the mages cry more ;)

yet you will waste your vote on a non-bmvg item. then hope that others follow your lead. it seems to be working for some.

the real downside though is that each time we have one of these tantrums regarding how the guide works, we lose people who just get tired of the drama. soon there will not be enough people left to spawn any but the smallest items in the times allotted.

it just makes me sad that there is really only one thing in the game that we all need to come together on to be successful and we fail continually at that.

Hi, I know that this is probably stupid question, but as the mageseeker attacks the minion with the highest dd spells, does that mean if you face a team with no dd spells, it will just attack anyone, or does it not fire at all?

It then fires on the front facing minion. Question is... does it ignore the CoI on that too?

AoI, not CoI, is the "question" I think.

We wait until next Monday afternoon... with three voting chances we see if we can spawn it. If not, then we abandon it for the next highest vote item. Of course, if those "protesting" were to have voted for the Msk we'd be at 91 and well on our way to spawning it tomorrow.

Gotta love pointless protests... just means we waste all of our time for the next 8 days.

I am a little confuse why we are still voting for a mageseeker. It has been 2 weeks and there is a total of 170 votes in the black market and it takes 173 to spawn the mageseeker so even if every single person voted for it, it still wouldn't spawn.

It is what it is... we give it through next Monday...

the 17th when this started was mid-week, so many of those votes from that Monday were lost to the previous item.

It's a pity people can't all get on board a vote and get it done.

Beyond that it's certainly not helpful to the point of this thread to split the vote openly and on purpose - that way nobody really wins. We all become losers in this exchange... but then I suppose that's the point eh? Better sour grapes and we all lose than a little teamwork.

What say we just drop the whole BMVG thing and let the Black Market go to Anarchy... That way we can have weeks of losing.

i would say let draco or elite be in charge of it for awhile! they seem to have it all figured out. ; )

this system currently is rewarding people for spliting votes. By voting on the item you want, you increase its vote and makes it more likely that it is the next item spawn.

it would appear that last gasp is done with the bmvg. i would like to thank him for all the work he put into it and for a job well done!
