Omg this is so awesome... (in Off-topic)

Well at least in my opinion it is.

Alright, get this. Back when I was living in New York, the apartment we lived in was haunted. It was on Haunted History last night. I thought that was the coolest damned thing I've ever heard in a while xD. I was a babby (some people will get that) back then so I don't really remember anything aside from some of the stories I heard

three4thsforsaken September 21 2008 6:22 PM EDT

sweet. Any stories you want to share? xD

Well this one time my dad told me about this one time he got woken up during the night because a chair or something was picked up then dropped really hard and the walls fading away and replaced by a fire or some mess.

Also in my room, sometimes there would be these red glowing eyes just staring at me through the door. That's what mom told me lol.

How were you formed?

Haunted things don't exist.

"Haunted things don't exist"

:O Lies!!! I've had personal experiences and my brothers have witnessed a lot of them

Conquest September 21 2008 7:44 PM EDT

Well that explains a lot about you...

QBsutekh137 September 21 2008 11:51 PM EDT

Witnessed...cool. Then I can watch the tapes? Seriously, I'm all ears/eyes/touch. Show me the end result and I'll believe.

Bottom line -- I've been in enough spots that would have been haunted had they could. They weren't. I'm not impressed. So, get consistent/scientific on it, or else you aren't on it at all. You just enjoy things to talk about (not that there's anything wrong with that).

;P I got somethin' for ya then lol. Is it mine? No. Is it a friend of mine? Yes. I'll get it up here in a sec

QBsutekh137 September 21 2008 11:58 PM EDT

I'll be on the edge of my chair -- tomorrow. Bedtime for the worker-drones of America. *smile*

Take care...

Did meth play any part in this?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 22 2008 12:27 AM EDT

while a skeptical mind in all things is probably healthy, absolute confidence one way or the other is a sign of a closed mind.

SimplyNic September 22 2008 12:34 AM EDT

"Did meth play any part in this?"

No drugs were involved, elsewise I'd be a bit more messed up then I am now ;).

And had drugs been involved (Non rx that is), then they definately would have taken molded with my brain, considering that I've had turbulences off and on for the last 16 years.

Lastly, I don't care if you were joking around or not, but that pissed me off. 'Grats Rave, you are the 2nd person to be nailed on my perm-ignore list. How does it feel?

I think dudemus has the right idea by saying this:

"while a skeptical mind in all things is probably healthy, absolute confidence one way or the other is a sign of a closed mind."

Yes, I was in fact joking. By no means did I intend to say that you or your family has any sort of addiction. Really, if it were me, I'd say "hah good one" and that's the end of it. But yes, I know we are two different people, and I should have considered that you might find it offensive, and I apologize for not doing so before I posted.

Back to your original post, it is pretty cool that your old house showed up on that show. My dad, uncles and aunt swear to this day that their old house was haunted. My uncle says that one day, he was staying up real late one night when everybody was asleep and in bed and he felt someone grasp his shoulder and he just froze and couldn't move because he was so scared. The new owners believe the house is haunted as well.

So yeah, I actually do somewhat believe in the whole haunted house stuff to a small extent. It's cool how some houses seem haunted to nearly all of it's inhabitants, and you hear nothing about ghosts from any other house in the neighborhood.

Ghosts, Old House, Haunted, Night time.

Maybe it's just me, or are 'ghosts' all programmed to hang around old houses, and only come out during night time to give you a fright for fun?

If I were a ghost, I'd haunt a bus stop and freak everyone out during the day time just as a bus was approaching. Then I wouldn't be lonely for long. :)

Nah dude. Ghosts hang around places that have some sort of history to them. Common factors include a murder or some other violent act.

Like at where I work. We have another restaurant that's there for parties and such. In the kitchen, there's this hall way that I just absolutely hate. Its like the closer you get to the door that leads to it, you just want to turn around and walk way. Its hard to explain, but I will not walk down there unless I have to. Later I figured out why.

I asked a question to one of the guys that had worked there for a while. He said that one of the managers that worked there got in an arguement with an owner an was fired. The former manager commited suicide later that day.

Then another one said that a rape happened in the storage room. Which is also the room that I hated the most out of that whole place.

The reason why they are filmed at night though is because you can't really use the right equipment to capture them during the day.

PearsonTritonRaveshaw September 22 2008 4:32 PM EDT

That's creepy, although your co workers might just be playing tricks on you. =P

Also, I think the reason they film at night is because the areas that they film in are probably in use during the day (This mostly applies to the ones where people leave the camera sitting somewhere and leave it there). It's easier to do at night because there is less of a chance for human contamination (xD).
