Hal > SoD > ElB => Hal = New kIng of range damage. (in General)

I will post more proof soon but quick observation shows that I "seldom" lose to Relic and 3/4th who has hal junction. I do not know exact level of those Hal but i assume it is quite good size. Comparing damage done to Mikel's ELB and AA's SOD all have (have had) great amount of St and Dex which tripple/quad my 504 AC minion backed with PL minion. Here are the quick result.

AA's SOD: Did not finish my 12mil HP in 6 rounds (with PL)
Mikel's ELB: (before the change with more damage+ ToE was good)--I need more proof now compare to before) but i assume roughly the same now= Didn't kill me all in range before.
However, those 2 Hal's mentioned completely destroy wall+ PL + HP all within 6 rounds.
I will post battle log later. But this is my assumption and I believe it will hold even after i post data.

The Nightwatchman lvl 7,739,791 owned by Relic (Toast)

Post Battle Stats with no EC or draining weapons involved:
ST: 4,024,691
DX: 4,024,691
Ranged Bonus to-Hit: 248

Nothing to sneeze at, but the damage I do compared to EF is a pittance. I might get the occasional triple hit for 250k per hit but I get hit from novice's EF for 4 mil per hit.

I think it is quite balanced atm.

This post is talking about ranged damage though.

"Greater Halidon Familier" is a single-minion archer.
ELB used is x2222 +0 (hehe)
I also have a pair of Beleg's gloves +13 (so that's +39% ranged damage, right?)

Strength 6,553,891
Dexterity 3,312,176
Armor Class 79
Ranged Base to-Hit 100
Ranged Bonus to-Hit 111 (all of it from the ToE)

____

Cutting non-archer blows out...

1st ranged (I have HoC, Halidon familiar doesn't):

Greater Halidon Familiar hit Hal [420815]

2nd ranged:

Greater Halidon Familiar hit Hal [557496]
Greater Halidon Familiar hit Hal [661776]

Hal shot Greater Halidon Familiar [412910]
Hal hit Greater Halidon Familiar [292040]
Hal hit Greater Halidon Familiar [263761]

3rd ranged:

Greater Halidon Familiar hit Hal [648484]
Greater Halidon Familiar skewered Hal [605122]

Hal shot Greater Halidon Familiar [309050]
Hal skewered Greater Halidon Familiar [421549]
Hal struck deep into Greater Halidon Familiar [338216]

(and then I die)

occasional triple? HAHAH

occasional quint hit is more like it...

against minions with no evasion I've never seen you hit less than 4 times... 250k is your min damage against a ~100 AC minion, I'd say 450k would be your max...

270/260/350/290 = 1170000
297/412/331/266 = 1306000
370/378/356/365/382 = 1851000
339/268/259/394 = 1260000
320/307/308/261/279 = 1475000
-----------------------------
Total damage: 7,062,000

No evasion, no AC, no HP minions fall to anything though. You have to look at the "real" minions on a team to see a good comparison. :)

Then don't quote numbers on SG from teams with no magical defense...

three4thsforsaken September 24 2008 8:17 PM EDT

always note that Hal is only really effective in ranged. In melee the damage they do is greatly cut down as they loose hits. They can't equip a melee weapon so they are sunk.

TrueDevil [AAA] September 24 2008 8:47 PM EDT

The Last time I played with 2 mil+ MPR chara, there was someone with heavy AC wall and stuff (from what I remember only around 350 or so AC + steel skin), and I remember clearly that my HAL at lvl 4,6 mil doing below 50 k damage per hit (no junction)... It's really not overpowered or anything...

Never really tried junctioned HAL, but right now I'm building a new chara and will be trying junction.

Usul [CHOAM] September 24 2008 8:47 PM EDT

another point is Relic doesn't even have beleg or any tank based equipment junctioned to the Hal. So the potential can be even more devastating.

Sacredpeanut September 24 2008 8:49 PM EDT

That Hal would be brutal if it was junctioned, 10M+ ST and 8M+ DX..

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] September 24 2008 8:50 PM EDT

i think two things need to be addressed with hals. the junction issue and whether it is working as intended or not. secondly, with evasion in its current state, why are any weapons set at 100 percent base cth?

after we find out what is up with these two issues, then we can discuss balancing, as of now though we just really do not know where we stand with hal and also with elb's for that matter.
