I'm thinking it very easily could win the Academy Award for best picture.

how can you say that before it's released? The premise or the actors don't make a movie.

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] October 23 2008 3:57 AM EDT

On a premise that sounds like its Jean-Claude Van Damme's last ditch attempt at getting back in the spotlight. And he's bringing Seagal along for the ride.

Uhh...
"could win the Academy Award" in reference to "Movie hero Jean-Claude Van Damme..."

My sarcasm-o-meter must be off today.
You're not serious are you?

Cube October 23 2008 4:08 AM EDT

I dunno how you can judge the movie that highly before it's release, but the premise does not sound interesting to me..

Nor have I ever been tempted to see Jean-Claude Van Damme's movies...

Josh [Cult of the Valaraukar] October 23 2008 6:46 AM EDT

I really wasn't expecting anyone to take the "best picture" statement seriously.

Maybe people just don't know JCVD or Seagal movies well enough to know there is no possible way I was being serious.

Flatcap [East Milwaukee Devival] October 23 2008 6:55 AM EDT

An actor playing himself pulled into situations that only happen in his movies? Sounds like "My name is Bruce" but with less fun

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] October 23 2008 7:18 AM EDT

Bah, no prizes for this one of course, but it could still be interesting.

Jean-Claude is not the best actor there is, but ''After Death'' shows some acting brilliance from him...I'll probably be seeing this, I'm curious :P
