Just another ncb help thread.. (in General)

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 6:12 PM EDT

Alright, so not to long ago in chat i was told my strat was not effective. Which was kind of news to me considering, I'm beating most of the ncb's around me, and some higher mpr teams. I was told as I grow I will really start to notice it. What do you guys think any help or suggestions greatly apreciated :).

It is hard to help when you have so many spells without telling us how much exp you've spent on each.
For example, DM + AMF is rarely a good combo.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 6:23 PM EDT

OK sorry about that. here we go..

Minion 1
Anti-magic field - 1 million exp.
Ablative shield - 5 million exp.

Minion 2
Antimagic field - 4 million exp.
Guardian angel - 6 million exp.

Minion 3
Dispel magic - 500k exp.
Ablative shield - 8 million

Minion 4
Hp - 2 million exp.
shocking grasp - 8 million exp.

Keep in mind the RoS allows me to train anti-magic field plus dispel magic.

the strat is fine, GA + AS is great right now, AMF definitely will help against all the SFBM out there, and help stop big SGs.

I say stick to it, if you want to add BoFs or some leadership to help the SG do it's job, cleanup will probably be your biggest problem.

It is a solid build, I don't know who told you otherwise.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 7:27 PM EDT

Okay thanks guys. btw. Three what do you meen by cleaning up?

three4thsforsaken October 25 2008 9:54 PM EDT

after you have the opposing main damage dealer dead, you still need to kill the rest of the non-damaging minions. SG is good at that though, just make sure you don't die another GA + AMF strat.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 9:59 PM EDT

OKay thanks man.

BootyGod October 25 2008 10:04 PM EDT

3/4ths is right. At one point, training a bit of ST and DX on one of the enchanter with a small weapon may be a good idea. Maybe not. But, imo, single damage dealer strategies aren't alllll that viable anymore.

Unappreciated Misnomer October 25 2008 10:08 PM EDT

the weapon of choice i would recommend would be SoD, no need to train a skill and it has splash dmg

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 10:17 PM EDT

Well I have a mageseeker, elven long bow, ex-bow, and a rather large compound would any of these work?

three4thsforsaken October 25 2008 10:24 PM EDT

ELB actually might be a good bet with it's high Base-to-hit :D

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 10:27 PM EDT

Ok. I will give it a shot thanks. :)

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] October 25 2008 10:34 PM EDT

I trained archery as well, Will the benifits of hitting in range offset the exp not going into my enchantments?

3D October 27 2008 12:19 AM EDT

Your team seems mostly enchant based in order to win, I don't see any advantage of using exp and money on an enchanter for physical damage. I'd stick to the AS, AMF, SG, and GA. My personal preference if I were rolling that combo (and I sort of wish I was, very cost-efficient).

3D October 27 2008 12:39 AM EDT

Ahh I didn't read, but with high amounts of AS and with the right gear (AoF for AS concentration, NSC's to stop AMF backlash, TSA for HP regen since you train HP on the SG minion too) your SG minion should be able to survive.
