i need a family story that hints on an historical event. Now i'm not telling you to right the story i just want ideas. This story doesnt have to be true but it has to be believable so probally something that happened like in the last 50 or so years. thanks!.

granpa's war stories are always great
or even dad's trip to the vietnam war or desert storm/shield

Great uncles are always good ideas for main characters too. Far enough away in the family tree your teacher will never ever meet them.

Yep, war stories.

I ALWAYS used the same guy to write my historical family stories. (I had a couple of those to write.)

His name was Christophe Parenteau. He was my great-uncle. Of course, he never existed, but war veteran stories are real easy to invent, if you really can't find anything interesting in your family's past. (I couldn't, we are boring people. And no, we are not French, so that does not explain why we have no war stories to tell XP )

I did not like how they assumed everybody in a class had hero grandfathers. ''So THERE. Eat my invented story. BWAHA! Assumptions like this are stupid!''

First hint for a story:

No uncle, great or otherwise, can substitute for phonics.
