I was in the middle of forging my AoM (~60%), and then on my next action, the dwarf takes it, and I notice my RPM is now ~29% (what I had this morning).
Can anyone confirm if this is a bug or if there was a reset/restore done?

Sucks to say, but you must have done something wrong with your forge cycle, like way overheat it. You might have missed a quench or temper or something, because the forge dwarf only intervenes when you do something totally wrong..... and when that happens you lose 50% of the RPM on the item.
I've had the dwarf take an item many times and have never lost RPM b/c of it. This was something else
By "this morning," do you mean server time, or some other time? Because if it rolled back 5 hours, I should have 160 BA and less MPR than I do now.
I doubt it would have gone back to this morning if it was a restore. Don't those usually go back just a couple of minutes?
I would suspect that you overheated and the dwarf halved your progress so far.

If you overheat on the tempering part then you'll lose RPM. You must of done this
Thanks Wasp. I must have done this, although in all the time forging, it has been a first.
Suxors b/c it was a +9 AoM and I lost almost a days worth of BA.
Thanks for the tip.
