Autoretire Issues (attn: jon / programing admins) (in General)

PeterGriffin December 2 2008 9:39 AM EST

I asked about this earlier but received no good feedback from admins.. I would like to know some feed back from players that decide the programing behind our game....

I had a character that was auto-retired when I had fixed his score. I was able to get an admin to un-retire him but the day he was un-retired I noticed I receive the message again saying he was going to be retired.

The character is a holder for a contest and it seems ridiculous to retire a character when his score is 1 and pr is 13, its not like I am using him to boost anybody's score.

It would be nice that if the character is below 10,000 pr or mpr that he is exempt from the .33 ratio, I don't think that any character this low would provide any problems.

please let me know, I understand how it works and why and I also know that it is working correctly now I just would like to request a change that may help some characters and may free up some unneeded un-retires done by admins.

Just fire the minion.

I may end up doing that, but I was using the minion as a prize holder also... but still it would be nice to get a little attention to this especially since I have to pay to get the character unretired...

that would clog up the server with all those half baked new characters. It might be an option that can be checked when you want and start taking money from that character, until you can't, well, say good bye to that character and all stuff on it. :P

You can always fight a few battles with the character to get your score to an acceptable level.

Waste BA? Lol.

I did this last time and it didn't work, the first time I received the letter about him I fixed his score ratio but he was still retired, not sure how the program works on doing this job but seems like an easy task to add a pr > 10000 and mpr > 10000 to the script...

I've never had a holding char auto-retired in the four and a half years I've been playing.

Refresh my memory somebody, what leads it to happen?

A low Score:PR ratio.

AdminTal Destra December 3 2008 10:48 AM EST

if your score is way lower than you PR then you have issues to begin with but that is what causes the autoretire to kick in
