Quite frankly, I love this clan rivalry

FINALLY, there is an aspect to the game that is other than: beat as many people as possible and not be farmed by as much people as possible.

We need more clan warfare, competitiveness. The reason I was drawn into this game in the first place was because of the player vs player nature of the game.

I've got to hand it to DAS for reinventing the rivalry in CB. Creating a big clan, and in attempt to make a "family" make exclusive benefits among each other. Then specifically paying another to get rid of farmers.

But their plan has backfired, and everyone wants to get in on this action. Ironically, making DAS an exclusive family has backfired greatly.

and you know what?

I LOVE IT!

Rawr December 6 2008 8:23 PM EST

hear hear

Cube December 6 2008 8:27 PM EST

I love it too.

We definitely need some game changes so this happens more often. There never was enough competition in clans the whole time I've been here.

Hakai [Aye Phelta Thi] December 6 2008 8:29 PM EST

I love it also!! It has even inspired me to play again!!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 6 2008 8:34 PM EST

if the intention was to shake things up, i think it has been a success.

i do wish that some weren't taking it & themselves so seriously. in the immortal words of the joker, "why so serious"?

Kliktu December 6 2008 9:20 PM EST

This is some serious fun ^.^ Though I still can't shake a grudge that is building in me lol, I think when I get strong enough that I will farm only the Battle Royal and TheKnighthood, exclusivley. Focusing one minion at a time per day just so they can notice me ^.^ Seriously though, I doubt I can find a strat that can beat every member, lol. Plus they are so strong already... I'll have to play right to catch up... dang, I guess this is the reason I took a two year break... this game is time consuming, lol.

{cb2}Dinh December 6 2008 10:38 PM EST

Dudemus, trying to completely destroy something people have worked VERY HARD to establish is a very serious matter, especially for little to no reason...

BTW, clan rivalry/war is the wrong term here...something along the lines of "whole game" or "CB" vs DAS rivalry is a better name...it's all in good fun tho...especially for DAS...

"Tell me then, what really is glory when you have to pay for it?"

Rawr December 6 2008 10:40 PM EST

You guys were trying to take over CB though... That is what I was told when I was asked to join. CB v DAS is the consequence of shooting for CB domination.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 6 2008 10:48 PM EST

If you are working "VERY HARD", you are doing something wrong.

{cb2}Dinh December 6 2008 10:50 PM EST

Top Clan for the last month, as well as the first month, of ones existence doesn't do itself...If we hadnt worked very hard, our clans name would be close to yours on that list, wherever it is...

Soxjr December 6 2008 11:01 PM EST

True meaning of where ones clan is at is the yearly stat. I'm in clan #7 for the year with over 2 mil clan points. When you get to that point then you have established yourself, until then you are just a flash in the pan.

{cb2}Dinh December 6 2008 11:05 PM EST

Fact of the matter is...Mikel and novice wont let anyone get up their with them because this is what will happen to any clan who starts to threaten their run/glory...all in all, this is really fun tho...ask anyone i talked to a couple months ago...this is exactly what i predicted, which is funny how novice claims he didnt start this..yet i predicted this exact same thing two months ago...

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 6 2008 11:11 PM EST

could i be witness to true self-fulfilling prophecy?

"The self-fulfilling prophecy is, in the beginning, a false definition of the situation evoking a new behaviour which makes the original false conception come 'true'. This specious validity of the self-fulfilling prophecy perpetuates a reign of error. For the prophet will cite the actual course of events as proof that he was right from the very beginning."

Rawr December 6 2008 11:16 PM EST

"novice claims he didn't start this"

GogetaSS4 did.

Soul Eater December 6 2008 11:26 PM EST

How the heck did I start this?????? Explain your flawed reasoning behind this....

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] December 7 2008 12:27 AM EST

Of all the people who could have been blamed for starting this, it was not Gogeta.

Soul Eater December 7 2008 12:46 AM EST

I just joined the clan a little while ago so I can't see how this could've been started by me.

Mikel [Bring it] December 7 2008 12:47 AM EST

Who posted Bounties first?
I only jumped in cause I saw DAS start offering bounties and then someone counter offered.

Soxjr December 7 2008 12:48 AM EST

baha bros1 is the one that posted the bounty thread. to stop from being farmed. so basically it started with him.

three4thsforsaken December 7 2008 12:49 AM EST

instead of asking ourselves who started this, we need to wonder if we like where this is going...

I vote yes :D, not in a sense that DAS is being targeted but rather the idea of clan rivalry, and contest based on them

QBOddBird December 7 2008 3:23 AM EST

I really like where we're going.

It only makes sense that the excessively sensitive people will start foaming at the mouth along the way.

{cb1}Linguala December 7 2008 4:21 AM EST

*Bites OB*
Sorry mate, ever since that stupid dog bit me, I get a bit weird...

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] December 7 2008 6:44 AM EST

brahbros1, or whatever his name is, is the one who posted the fight bounty on Steve. By the way steve... Someday! Someday I will fight you off... *Nom*

Also, Dinh, if you were aiming that little crack at Bast about, and I quote, "If we hadnt worked very hard, our clans name would be close to yours on that list, wherever it is...", then you should really just shut up now.

A: You're insulting one of the eldest members of the CB Community, and one of the most highly respected.
B: You're insulting Hidden Agenda.

I don't care if DAS was trying to take over the Top 5, the Top 10 or the Top Thousand. You're slinging petty insults over something that does what, affect your extra XP bonus? Big, whopping deal.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 7 2008 7:16 AM EST

And, more importantly, utterly misunderstanding the concept of "work". ;)

*was that a crack about my age, Capt'n SquishyPants?

{cb2}Dinh December 7 2008 8:52 AM EST

Just because I am not a 'elder' to this game, or a veteran, doesn't mean that I have to put up with his silly insults. If he is going to dish them out by saying 'we're doing something wrong' then he can learn to take them. Kind of hard, first sign of anything and other people jump on them for you.

{cb2}Dinh December 7 2008 8:59 AM EST

What? Do you all think that just because DAS is new, and we are all relatively new in the DAS clans that we should just lay down to everything you all say? Do you honestly think that we should just "disband" and quit fighting Silva because we should be scared...because the toughest players in the game are targeting us? Or that, when one is insulted we should just turn our cheek? Sorry, it doesn't work like that...we won't just lay down. This is a fight to the death. A fight to my death. There is no more CB after this, and if and when novice succeeds at destroying the newest thing CB has that he doesn't like, I will be leaving myself. This game has more going on behind the scenes than you know. There is a lot more going on than you know Silva, so just keep your nose out of others business. Just how much we uncover before we are gone will be worth it in the end...

"Just how far does the rabbit hole go?"

"Tell me then, what really is glory when you have to buy it?"

ResistanZ2 [The Knighthood] December 7 2008 9:08 AM EST

I'm not a part of a DAS clan but I feel has an essence of grade school bullying in it. Novice made a contest and now everyone is all like "laff lets hate on them for no reason".

{cb2}Dinh December 7 2008 9:52 AM EST

Thank you OpVines...more people will realize, even if it is one by one. The amount of bullying isn't shown out in the public. What's going on behind the scenes is the kicker. Infiltration into DAS. Sending one to create a fake DAS clan, in order to give us a bad name. Yes this looks like a simple contest...but it is far from it. This "contest," not only predicted to a 'T' by me over two months ago, it has been in the works for weeks. Novice and mikel think we are all blind. We will open CB's eyes to their oppression. Throughout all the bad things being said about DAS, it's the few good compliments and good thing we have brought that will keep us going through this. There haven't been clan wars in a long time because the two powers won't allow it. And the longer they don't allow it, the longer they hold control over everyone. Accept for DAS, we are the only ones combating it :P

"Tell me this (Novice, Mikel), what really is glory when you have to buy it?"

"Just how far does the rabbit hole go?"

{cb2}Dinh December 7 2008 9:56 AM EST

My next question is...Who will be the first to start throwing out USD to end DAS...? Come on, show us how powerful you all are. Show all of CB your true strength.

"Tell me then, what really is glory when you have to buy it?"

"Just how far does the rabbit hole go?"

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 7 2008 10:18 AM EST

"I'm not a part of a DAS clan but I feel has an essence of grade school bullying in it. Novice made a contest and now everyone is all like "laff lets hate on them for no reason"."

a das member made a similar contest first against someone in nov's clan. nov then made a counter offer.

that seems like good ole clan warfare to me. as for people hating on them for no reason, i think most are just amused and entertained by all of the drama and the spin.

"don't dish it out if you cannot take it."

QBJohnnywas December 7 2008 10:21 AM EST

This is all a bit CB1 for my liking. Amusing but old school. Next up: Camping and Di's family tree....

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] December 7 2008 10:28 AM EST

There was a slight difference dudemus. We opened the contest for only DAS members while Nov opened it for all of CB. I hope you see the big difference in this. With Baha it was DAS v. Knighthood, now it's DAS v. CB.

lostling December 7 2008 10:33 AM EST

paranoia much?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] December 7 2008 10:35 AM EST

No I'm not paranoid, or do I think all of CB is against us. Nov just opened a contest for a load of people, while our contest was to a select few people. Nov changed it from a simple "clan" rivalry.

{cb2}Dinh December 7 2008 10:57 AM EST

Yeah, because he stood no chance in a 'simple' clan rivalry. The Secret Government of CB will be revealed. They aren't talking a whole lot anymore because they know we know. If it's the last thing I do in this game, it will be fighting to show you what REALLY is the death of CB as we know it. Dudemus, we aren't backing down. We are fighting the fight and we will continue it. But all the while we do, we will open your eyes to what is really going on. It's one thing not to see it, it's totally different to refuse to see it.
Which one are you?

"Tell me then, what really is glory when you have to buy it?"

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 7 2008 11:07 AM EST

no one wants you to back down, no one wants you to go away. we have room for all types here in cb land.

i think most would agree that if anything is to be learnt from this, you might want to stress to all das members that if they make bounties, do so using chatmail and clan messaging in the future. the thing about public bounties is that their may perhaps be a backlash. likewise, you could also learn to have a sense of humor about these things if you aren't going to work to avoid them as they may occur again.

QBBast [Hidden Agenda] December 7 2008 11:14 AM EST

Now is not the time for the sensible learning of lessons, Dude! Secrets are going to be revealed! Pass the popcorn.

winner winner December 7 2008 11:15 AM EST

Why are you so upset over a bounty on your clan? It's really not that bad if you guys were in the top 5 yesterday.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 7 2008 11:23 AM EST

/em makes more popcorn

while bast's advance age and elder status might conceal the fact somewhat, she is 100 percent female by the way! ; )

ResistanZ2 [The Knighthood] December 7 2008 11:29 AM EST

Her "advanced age". You mean her dinosaurocity?

Mikel [Bring it] December 7 2008 11:33 AM EST

"There was a slight difference dudemus. We opened the contest for only DAS members while Nov opened it for all of CB. I hope you see the big difference in this. With Baha it was DAS v. Knighthood, now it's DAS v. CB."

So 4-5 (8-9 member) clans vs 1 (5-6 member) clan is not bullying?

QBsutekh137 December 7 2008 11:58 AM EST

Since no one has been answering some very serious questions put to the thread, I shall take on the burden.

"Tell me then, what really is glory when you have to buy it?"

An excellent question. And one I just asked myself last night at the video store. While Glory, the 1989 Civil War picture, is a well-respected piece of historic cinema, should I really have to buy or rent it? Couldn't I simply download it off the Internet and save myself $3.49? Or perhaps Netflix would have it as an "Instant Watch" option...damn, I forgot to check before going to the store! Confound it! As I pondered my fate, and the fate of the three-time Oscar winning film, I brushed my fingers over the DVD's cover. The stern face of Matthew Broderick. The chiseled, determined demeanor of Denzel Washington. The safe, knowing eyes of Morgan Freeman. No, I could not pass up this chance, and I could most certainly not pirate this movie. I tell you, sir, not only do I not question the worth of Glory, I know that I should, nay, MUST buy it! And it is everything it always has been in that circumstance! FREEDOM!

"Just how far does the rabbit hole go?"

Every inch as far as it needs to.

Any other questions?

BootyGod December 7 2008 12:13 PM EST

Yeah. How tall am I?

three4thsforsaken December 7 2008 12:15 PM EST

I think we're getting a bit confused and off topic ><

Soul Eater December 7 2008 12:27 PM EST

Well it is when you guys have people level 1,000,000 farming people who are only level 500,000 or below that's what I call bullying.

BootyGod December 7 2008 12:54 PM EST

Oh yeah, QQ.

Dude, I get attacked by people with 8 million PR versus my 3 million. THAT'S unfair.

On that note LEAVE ME ALONE AA YOU BULLY (same applies to anyone with over 3.5 million MPR and farms me. Losers. =D)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] December 7 2008 1:00 PM EST

"Well it is when you guys have people level 1,000,000 farming people who are only level 500,000 or below that's what I call bullying."

that also happens all the time in clan fighting. you can reassure yourself that if people are fighting that lower they are usually trading a challenge bonus for a clan bonus. since the challenge bonus is larger, if you are maxing out your challenge bonus then you will likely catch up to them or pass them up. in other words, they are hurting themselves more than you in the long run.

there are also two sides to every story, since creating my ncb i have been a target for several das clan members who were anywhere from twice as big as me to six or eight times larger. i have now caught up to many of them or passed them up mpr wise though! ; )

ResistanZ2 [The Knighthood] December 7 2008 1:42 PM EST

Sut.. I love you...

QBOddBird December 7 2008 1:43 PM EST

WELL HES TAKEN OKAY STOP TRYIN TO STEAL MY MAN

"Well it is when you guys have people level 1,000,000 farming people who are only level 500,000 or below that's what I call bullying."

The answer is obvious, deal with it or quit clan fighting.

Everyone else in clans deals with it on a daily basis, so why can't you?

ResistanZ2 [The Knighthood] December 7 2008 1:46 PM EST

HE MY BABY MAMA!
