To monitor interest in certain posts.

I don't reply to all the threads I read, but I do read them. And I want to know how much a thread gets read I read much more posts then I ever reply too.

Also handy for FS/WTB or any of the countless suggestion threads (like this one!)

Could be handy, thought of it myself also. But since this is a reasonably small community, most likely not needed.
