if you inspect a user who is currently logged in, the last login appears to show the current time. has it always been like this or has this changed?

It most definitely has NOT always been like this.
I noticed for over a week it said NS was logged on days ago when he was in chat.

Odd. It still shows that.
Maybe he resets when you refresh a page or something?

Notice it says last login. It records the last time you actually logged into the game. NS hasn't left the game for 3 days (he could've left the browser open and was afk for a while).

True, but it also says my last login was at 4:40 today and my last logic was at least 24 hours ago. It has something to do with CB activity, but I can't figure out what page triggers the refresh it login time.
Just like the active users list doesn't show the hours you're logged on to CB, but your ACTIVE hours. I'm not sure how it works either.
i haven't logged in for months and it shows the current time whenever i go to my page, which is what spawned my question. i thought it was behaving differently now.
logging into chat isn't the same thing...

OK, I've just checked my own user page. At 7.27pm (server time) it showed my last login as being 7.19pm (which was wrong anyway, as I've been logged in for hours). I looked again at 7.30pm and it then showed my last login as being 7.29.
It's refreshing itself at intervals rather than showing the current time. At least on my page.

Yup, every ten minutes refreshing.

actually, when you submit an action that requires your account to do so (such as posting in a thread, fighting, and checking your own battle log), it will count you as logged in. If you just browse threads, the high scores list, and users (note, that if ya inspect a character, you are using your account), you would not be using your account, and therefore not log in again :P

at least that's how i've always noticed it... :P
" logging into chat isn't the same thing... "
i don't think that i have logged into chat since some time in 2005. i meant exactly what i said in regards to logging into cb, i haven't done so in months, except perhaps from my cell phone. when i start firefox it takes me directly in without logging in and i only have to log in when going from another computer or my phone.

mine never works like this.
"It's refreshing itself at intervals rather than showing the current time. At least on my page."
this is strange because my own user page shows my last login as the time when i check it or the current time always now and that is what i do not remember it ever doing before.
