Question about MSK vs ELB damage (in General)

Ok, so I'm a little confused.

Can anybody explain how the damage multiples work on the MSK and ELB.

I currently have a named ELB @ x1000 and I tested it against a named MSK at x1500 and found that the damage was MUCH lower on the MSK.

I assumed when I considered the switch from ELB to MSK that it was a simple design of 6 multiplied by your x versus 5 times the x but it would appear that the 5 and 6 are more theoretical and only imply that the delivers more damage.

Anybody know how much you would have to put into the x of an MSK to match the damage output of an ELB? For example would a x2000 MSK match a x10000 ELB?

rather a x1000 ELB

MSKs do about 70% the damage of an elbow of the same size. Also, weapon damage increases by the root of the x increase, so if you increase the x's by 4x then you only do twice as much damage. With this you should be able to find out what x on an MSK would do equal damage to that of an x1000 Elbow.

It isn't a matter of 6*1150 vs 5*1650 (in which case 6900 vs 8250 the ELB would do less damage) but there are more factors involved which we do not really know perhaps.

Imo you compared apples to pears. Try using 2 evenly upgraded bows to compare instead and the ELB should do more damage.
