Fighting People (in General)

Hey, being a CB member for a good long time now, I'm very familiar with the process for fighting people. It involves clicking on higher-lower, or opening the "edit" box to try and find people close to me to fight.

The process of fighting users is quite ingrained in my mind; problem is, it's dull. I want something more, I want a new and improved process for fighting, one that involves me asking CB for information about my possible opponents. I want to search and filter a list of opponents without having to scrape all the huge lists of CB opponents or be infinitely knowledgeable about all the other players strategies in order to know when I can strike them.

I want CB to move into a new age of more efficient means of killing that perfect opponent.

A good example of what I want is my old Clan Fight app, where it let you filter a huge list of opponents by certain criteria; I want this functionality on CB, I don't think it's too much to ask. As new players and old players can agree, finding the perfect opponent is never easy, but helping people to find that perfect opponent shouldn't be hard. Let's do this, who else supports this idea?

I don't see how having a search engine will make things anymore interesting. At higher tier, you are limited to a small set of opponents (100 or so); it shouldn't take long to filter that list yourself. I can see how it will be more helpful at lower tiers but I still fail to see how it can make things more interesting. (maybe of interest to test out your setup verse a certain setup).

I don't recall what features your old clan flight app had. I think I used it mainly for the fight list.

But if this new feature will be a small effort, I don't see to hurt in doing it.

I think about this with every tournament I participate in. The ability to cross reference score and mpr with attribute levels would make finding opponents SOOOO much faster. Please Mr. Fextar make the magic happen!

I can agree with this as long as it doesn't compile a pre-approved list of people you can beat. You should still try to see if you can beat someone by using a BA for a test battle.

If that has nothing to do with what you were talking about, ignore me.

I really don't understand how this would make things more interesting. One of the few challenges to the game is finding opponents you can utterly destroy. Making a search engine to do that would simply reduce the game to choosing a strategy and clicking repeatedly. Even terrible strategies would easily find opponents with the click of a button.

I agree that it is of limited used at the top. But for the lower players and NCBs as well as for tournies it would be incredibly useful.

I'm with flatcap. Filters will be pointless with all the base trained spells/skills. People will intentionally train base spells just to bypass filters and keep their names off the charts. Besides, the fighting style for CB hasn't changed much at all since it started, why would Jon change it now?

i would like to at least suggest maybe pinpointing out a certain score out???it takes me on avg 7sec to load a page to fight(this includes clicking higher/lower then click fight, wait for post battle stats to appear) just waiting for the list of opponents is enduring for me...unless this option would also cause players to train to avoid being on list...other then that..i feel this would be at least helpful since we don't have to wait till the certain point while looking for players.
