Tournies (in General)

Can anyone give me a noob shpeal on how they work, what you have to do to get in one, etc?

I have vacation for my next block for two weeks and might be able to try one if one is up and don't have the slightest clue what to do :)

Tournament Information

Basically you have to read all the rules, of course, and follow them. Other than that tournaments are open for everyone to participate in and winning is based on a preset criteria. Oh and to make a character, all you have to do is have four or less characters and go to Manage-->New then check the tournament checkbox button. That is about it :).

upon reading it all the way through, the page likely needs some stuff added :P

1)Anyone can create a character via your Manage Characters link
2)Tourneys are short, but played with a bonus to rewards
3)all else is explained in the individual tournament thread

I think also a general explanation section of what tournaments are how they work etc is neeeded. For example...tournaments run on their own BA cycles and will in no way be of detriment to your main normal character

the first part of that sentence is true ("tournaments run on their own BA cycles"). The second part, however, is not quite as true ("and will in no way be of detriment to your main normal character "), though while we're not spending our regularly refreshing BA on our tourney chars, novice and I were just talking last night about how we've been distracted with the tourney enough to miss BA on our main chars, and I'm sure we aren't the only ones :P
