So why is there a maximum of 1 month in rentals? Maybe the cap should be raised to 3-4 months.

Probably cos it's a long time and people would complain wanting their items back for one reason or another. I don't see why putting it in for a month again is such a hassle, fair enough if you could only put it in for 1 week.
That would be a good idea, if CB introduced the cancel rental button...

If there is a chance that people want their items back after a month... then I'd suggest they only put them in for a month at a time lol. I think the cap should be raised to at least 3 months just to save a lot of hassle with having the keep re-listing them. Then there are the long-term loaners who want an item for a long time. They keep having to try and find new items because their current one has expired. It seems a bit contradictive to me. Raising the cap would be only beneficial, especially to the rentee

I'd happily rent some items for longer than a month. Hey if I had them that long I might even forget they were rented and start boosting them. Some lucky renter would get more back than they put in...

Hopefully they all get more back then they put in :P
that's probably the main reason I don't put my items in rentals more, I don't think it's worth it to put them in once a month

I'm with Henk, this would be a great feature if it came with a "Cancel Rental" button for both the renter (if nobody has rented it yet) and the rentee (if they're finished with the item.)
Would be helpful for forgers who want to take on big projects, too.
