Red Ring of Death (in Off-topic)

Newlin [SeeD] March 3 2009 8:49 PM EST

I have a friend (well call him Bob just cause I like that name :) who recently got the Red Ring of Death on his 360. He got the 360 from someone on Ebay, I think, so there is no warranty on it as far as I know. Below is a link I found about fixing it yourself that seems to have pretty positive feed back. If any of you have any sort of feed back on this thing let me know. I may just give him the link to this thread.

DON'T DO THIS! No warranty is needed for Red Rings, Microsoft fixes them for free, as it was manufactured incorrectly. There are many fixes out there that work for red rings, such as the towel trick, and other ways. However, if you want the best and safest solution just call 1-800-4MYXBOX and tell them about the rings. Hope this works out.

I should mention never use towels, worst thing you could do.
