NCAA Basketball Bracket Pool (in Contests)

Pursuant to the interest from my previous thread on this topic, I have created a Carnage Blender group on CBSSports.com. If you're interested in joining the pool, send me a chatmail with your email address so I can send you an invitation.

As to specifics:
-Scoring has been left on defaults, with no multipliers for seeds and such, with a normal 1,2,4,8,16,32 weighting progression
-Tiebreaker will be the score of the final game
-One bracket per player

As for the entry fee and awards schedule, I'll leave that up to everyone else. I would like to see a lot of people in the pool, so let's try to keep it to a million or less if possible.

Just to get things started, I'll throw 500k into the prize pool.

Hm, only three people so far. C'mon, nobody else wants to enter the basketball pool? You don't even need to know anything about college basketball, since I sure as heck don't.

I won two pools in high school simply by copying picks from Vegas oddsmakers, much to the chagrin of the basketball gurus I beat.

I'm in, let me know what buy-in is. I may be away for a few days as I'll be in the ACS conference in Salt Lake City (21-30th). Please feel free to post my entry fee. I'm good for it.

The pools have to be in before noon on Thursday since that is when the first round games begin.

Alright, this a reminder that all brackets lock in about thirteen hours. If anyone else wants to join, now is the time.

For the players already entered, I've been thinking about an entry fee of 250-500k, seeing as one or two people have mentioned that a high fee might crowd them out. Too high, too low, just right?

We're down to the Final Four, so this is just a reminder for the pool players that the 250k (yeah, I went with that amount) will be due whenever the title game ends. No need to shuffle around money before that time.
