right click on my comp. choose manage. go to sound device. see if there are any conflicts. update driver if so.
If using IE you can select tools at the top of browser. select internet options. then advanced tab. scroll down to the bottom and uncheck - warn if changing between secure and unsecure mode. that should get rid of your one window popping up

if Thak's help doesn't work, try reinstalling your sound drivers?

You do know that a system recovery doesn't get rid of the virus, right?
You need an anti-virus for that.

I assume he means pc recovery partition/disc, which should reformat everything, and reinstall the OS/drivers. Basically, it's a giant reset button, the only way to be sure the virus is gone.

No from my understanding he only did a System Restore which does nothing to get rid of viruses, if he did a pc recovery then it would get rid of it right.

"i need help i just did a pc recovery"
Also, I doubt System restore would mess with his drivers/IExplorer

Oh I see your right he did a pc recovery so yes that should wipe the virus. However if you do a Windows Update it should have all the codecs you are missing on there. That's what I did when I installed Windows on my pc after I built it and couldn't get the drivers for some things.

Crap I didn't mean to say codecs I meant to say Driver.
i just turn my computer on this morning and my sound was on but then i turned it off to go to school and came back turned it on and no sound again and still no sound what is the problem to this if my sound was working this morning
Maybe it's just the speakers.
go to computer manufacturer's web site and find the most recent drivers for your sound card. windows may have used some default or old drivers.
ok sound fix thanks to dudemus
