Untouchable April 30 2009 8:08 PM EDT

Single Archer With Hal
1/3 Hp 1/4Dex 1/3 Giant Stregnth

spells/skills:
-Archery (will always be 1.00 effect at lvl 20 as Str will always be lvl 20 Str)
-Dispel Magic train as much as whatever is good enough. :p

ResistanZ2 [The Knighthood] April 30 2009 8:14 PM EDT

Ranger's strat is like that.

Untouchable April 30 2009 8:15 PM EDT

the one difference being that he trains Str x]

str is much more boostable than GS. You might actually end up with more str if you junction str boosting equips. And even if you don't at least it's not DM-able.

Don't say a strat is untouchable when it isn't. It's misleading for newbies.

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] April 30 2009 9:14 PM EDT

3/4 it's his name. /facepalm

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:22 PM EDT

well, the thing is.
The minon with GS gets Str, aswell as the Halidon

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:23 PM EDT

nvm you probably knew that

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:26 PM EDT

when you talked about "str boosts"
dont forget there are enchantment boosts aswell.

are enchantment boosts cheaper?

Rawr April 30 2009 9:26 PM EDT

gs is dispellable, and you'll b using str boosting items, which will boost both familiar and minion

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:30 PM EDT

as if enchantment AND junction equip boosts arent possible

i think you may actually end up with even more Str this way even tho the minion wont get nearly as much str equip boosts as the familiar

three4thsforsaken April 30 2009 9:32 PM EDT

str boosting equips don't effect GS given str. So it'll only help your familiar. Don't forget penalties.

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:35 PM EDT

darn, penalties :p

well just enchantment boost equips would give a good amount of extra str for both minion and familiar since its GS that casts it on both.

so pretty much the junction part is covered already.

the only thing that would effect this is DM, which is something ill probably try to avoid, but im sure id still have a good chance of winning unless the opposing team has a minion that trains 100% DM

Rawr April 30 2009 9:37 PM EDT

If you use enchantment gear, such as cornuthaum, your DX will plummet.
The only things that really help enchantments anyways are Cornuthaums and Spellboosters (since you're using a tattoo). So its corn and sbs (maybe 20% boost?) versus BoM (25% easily), Belegs (ranged dmg), Helm of Clearsight (extra round of firing), elven boots (DX boost).

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:40 PM EDT

darn, i didnt know Corn affects def. i should do more research before voicing my thoughts.

but yeah as Rawr listed, i suppose Elven Gloves can make up for it.

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:43 PM EDT

i mean elven boots :p

Rawr April 30 2009 9:44 PM EDT

training str will not only yield MORE strength, it is not dispellable.
that right there is argument enough to NOT use Giant Strength.

Untouchable April 30 2009 9:48 PM EDT

i lose haha

ill keep it at strength
there goes my creativity
