how is ranger hitting me? (in General)

here we go again, i have given up on understanding how he hits me in ranged, it is just too complicated.

i have adjusted some xp around and now am wondering with my newly junctioned evasion skill (i gave up on bloodlust working or working well and decided to just boost kano san's evasion).

dog hits me almost every other round in melee, just once per round.

i will post some stats here in a second, if ranger would be so kind as to post his post battle dex that would be awesome!

my evasion in post for jiggy is 197, and my post battle dex against ranger is 6,148,179.

the plus on his bow is 220.

Oooooh, perhaps Jonathan has made the DX/PTH/Penalties war complicated enough that we can no longer dissect everything? :D

With 200 dex based PTH possible, It's not surprising he hits you (even in melee). The melee CTH reduction has only been fully explained once or twice, but the bottom line on it might be that the penalty isn't enough to bring his dex chance much below the 80% he'd need for his leftover PTH to give him a guaranteed hit.

It's because you can't drop his CTH below either 100 or min(100, dex CTH). I suspect the latter is true, from my own experience with DBs.

i thought dex advantage could drop the bth down? i should have like 1000 percent dex advantage i believe, or higher.

He should have a massive dex advantage... how much dex advantage do you need for a +0 ELB to miss? Triple the dex, four times?

He has about 2M DX left, does he not? IIRC your EC has roughly 2M effect.

actually in the other thread, when we ended in ranged his elb user had like 500k dex left. with the 60 percent dex penalty (if he hasn't changed his stats) his dex would be around 200k to my over 6m.

This is in Melee! So 40% of 2m is 800k... dude has 10x the dex.

He's using an MoD, isn't he?

he has retrained since hiring, i have pm to him asking to post his post dex, hehe.

He just changed to EBs. His postbattle dex is 4200000 - 2442821 = 1757179.

my bad! he does have the mod, that is what is hitting me!

the mod is a plus 240, so that makes more sense. for some strange reason i just assumed that with the massive bow he couldn't also equip a massive melee weapon.

nope... if you can managed to get around 15m in HP/STR combined you can equip the largest melee and ranged weapon at the same time...

It is a penalty in melee I think you meant to type.

that i can definitely agree with! it would make it much easier. is there a trick with naming a minion or team something you want to add to dictionary?

Do not forget until my first minion dies and then when my HF is alive, I get the BoF bonus to my archer, +14 PTH.
