Which Ranged Weapon? (in General)

Hey what ranged is better for me, Sling of Death or Mageseeker. i have 1 minion and lesser tattoo of augmentation and Morgul hammer equipped, and archery trained now, u think it would be better to untrain archery and get SoD ?

In my opinion, stick with the Mageseeker for now until you get yourself some armor or when you start training DM. Then you might think about getting yourself a SoD. Until then, GA will be be a problem.

GA's always going to be a problem, with the MSK or with the SoD.

If I had to choose between the SoD and Mageseeker, it would be the SoD hands down.

Reasons you ask, well I will tell ya:

First and foremost, the SoD does not need a skill to use it to max efficiency. That xp can be better uses in HP or more strength or even DM to lower/stop DM.

Second, PL is a problem. A lot of characters have PL and while you hit their mage, their PL/TSA minion just takes all the damage. While the Mageseeker damage is not too bad, it is not near the ELB damage.

Third, The mageseeker works only vs mages teams best. The SoD hits all minions of a mage or tank character.

Fourth, Since the damage of both are the same, base 5, the SoD will do more damage overall, leading to quicker kills and perhaps killing the mage even faster than the Mageseeker in some cases. Yes, GA will hurt, but take the xp you would have to use in archer, and learn DM.

Fifth, If you use a melee weapon, you can of course use BL. BL with a MH or Bth is a great combination.

I initially had a Mageseeker for my character, and if I did not find this ELB, I would have went with a SoD.

Deifeln7 has likely the best single or double minion strategy for a Mageseeker, that is using a RBF also. However, to use it as a primary attack is not too good.

Personal preference : SoD >= ELB > Mageseeker >= EXbow >>> AXbow

And one of the first things you should attempt to do is get a full tattoo. They grow 2x as fast as a lesser.
