hire minion change (in General)

With the new restriction on the amount of liquid cash flowing into the pockets of my fellow blenders. And the already obvious bonus drops that is filling our coffers ;D

I propose the cost to hire a minion be at a scale of our choosing based on what we can now afford. Basically its a scale from 0$/0xp-to the bottom of your wallet. Why can i only spend Xmillions of cbd on 2 options for a new minion. Now with that said, the larger you are the more you can spend on a new minion, not saying you can afford it. But you cant start a new character and buy yourself 200+million dollar minions.

Growing a Character with new memebers as you climb should be a realistic possiblility. Not some buy early or pay for it through the rear later.

Q-reasonable?flawed?

Reasonable, if, over time, general liquidation in the game has gone down. It is actually more than reasonable in that case, since simply having less money in the game will make minion purchases that much more impossible.

And if the game-makers WANT minion purchases to be impossible, then please, just please do away with the concept. Don't allow it but handicap it.

thats why I re-re-started as I couldnt make enough to buy another minion. yeah I end up buying some CB anyway thats not the point.If I didn't buy no gear I might could have bought 1 minion.Maybe 2 but they got into the millions really fast..Very Fast.
To make the 2nd time NCB better I started with 4 as quick as I could..Now the downside to 4 minion teams are they move slower than single or double minion teams and are much more expensive to cloth properly...
Now the way I see it is we have choices. We pay now or pay later!!!
If you want to run a single minion you gonna run away from the pack real fast,but you know you always catch up with the speeders at the red lights :)

The minion cost was to promote multiple minion teams from the start. Then you want another minion, your buying XP in essence.The price is you run with single minions and you pay out the nose to buy another one..I'm thinking that was the intent.

I'm hoping all these costs are adjusted (including BA cost) but I'm thinking that they are looking to see how the new cash flow system works for a while before moving forward with those kinds of changes.

no one is mentioning how weak a bought minion is either.I paid over 20m for 1 minion in CB1 and that was when CB was 10 USD a mil..yeah do the math and laugh...I hated him

My highest priced new minion would cost me almost 9mil. I still have not fully geared my current two minions (missing 1 item) and I have been using my money wisely. I don't see how it's even possible to be able to cloth your team, keep your equips upgraded and still be able to hire a minion or minions in the higher MPR ranges. I can't even imagine how hard it would be if I had to pay for my extra BA.

I honestly think the costs should be cut in half to even be reasonable. There is no possible way I will be able to hire a third minion without either, unequiping and selling half my gear, or buying CBD with USD. Both which are out of the question. I should have to either cripple my team or spend hard earned money to make my character the way I want it.

Sure you say i could save up for about a month and get that 9mil. Guess what though, my MPR in those 4 weeks will have gone up around 600k (at my rate), therefore raise the cost several more millions. Then the process continues.
Also note, while I'm saving up I won't be able to upgrade my equipment which will be slowly making me weaker and slowing lowering my possible challenge bonuses.


I never understood why it is even that expensive. I hired my 2nd minion for about 2mil a long time ago and It got hardly any XP and it took a long time for it to remotely catch up to my larger minion and start helping my team out.

So, I propose we have this seriously looked into and evaluated. I don't see the problem with lower the costs AT LEAST 20% to reflect the monetary reduction.

Oh, I forgot to mention:

Once you do somehow get that minion hired (most likely putting yourself into debt form a huge loan), Then you have to worry about either buying or renting expensive rares to make the hired minion even worthwhile. I don't believe it's possible to have a competitive team without the proper gear.

Honestly a scaling of costs and prices should be done to reflect the changes made. I happen to like the recent changes but at the same time things should be evened out as a result of changing things around. BA, Minion Buy rates, Bonuses, and Rewards should be adjusted.

why lower the rewards and then lower all of the costs? wouldn't it just have been easier to leave rewards as they were if the goal wasn't actually to reduce liquid assets and wouldn't lowering costs negate that change?
