do you read FML? (in Off-topic)
my favorite today
Today, I left on a 2 month trip. I was in a hurry to pack so I wouldn't miss my plane. There were 2 piles of clothes on my bed. One pile was clothes that didn't fit to take to a thrift store, one was to take with me. Guess which one I brought? FML
is it bad to feel a bit happier at someone elses expense?
Today, there was a meeting at work. I had to give a presentation to my boss and the other attendants. My first subject was on how my 5 year old son got to my briefcase and replaced the contents of it with crayons and a stuffed teddy bear. FML

I've been there a couple times, but only because a couple friends told me to check it out.
Some of them are pretty good. Depending on how bad your day is going, it can brighten it up a little.
Yes, the word you are looking for is "schadenfreude".

"is it bad to feel a bit happier at someone else's expense?"
No. No, it can be quite cathartic.
It's why I love to watch Hell's Kitchen so much.
Screaming British Guy is much better on the other show where he visits food poisoning distribution centers...

Yes, Kitchen Nightmares is also amazing.
Today, I went to the Doctor with my parents. When the doctor asked if I was sexually active, I said 'Yes.' My mom laughed and said 'Good one.' My dad, for added effect said, 'Your hand doesn't count.'

That's why I never let my parents into the examination room with me way back when I was young.

Kitchen Nightmares UK is far better, hasn't stopped me from watching all of KN US and HK US though.
Also, there's nothing wrong with feeling better cause others have it as bad/worse than you. I love FML. Great way to waste 5 minutes, or 10, or 15.
Today, I was a TA for a history class and the class was taking a test. About halfway through, I noticed one kid had a small piece of paper in his hand. I ran up the row, grabbed his test, and ripped it into four pieces. Then I took the note from him. It said "I believe in you, -Mom." FML

"Kitchen Nightmares UK is far better,"
I strongly disagree.
This one made me rofl.
Today, my parents were out so I invited my girlfriend over. It was the afternoon, and things started to heat up. We were having sex, and I was about to finish. Then I looked through the window, to see a construction worker (who was fixing the house next to mine) giving me a thumbs up. He's her dad. FML
This is the greatest thread ever.

Kitchen Nightmares UK feels more real. I like that he narrated it himself. Also, their music choices in the UK version are quite entertaining. The US one has a giant-er budget, so they do a remodel every single time. Whereas in the UK one, he helped one owner sell a car in order to replace kitchen equipment. But well to each his own.
My favorite was the Fenwick Arms, which was about this elderly couple that owned a pub that tried too hard to be 'classy' even though it was a pub. The owner also had a love obsession with weird shaped plates, so bizarre. At the end Ramsey takes his massive plate collection to the dump, and has them crushed. =)

Oh right, whoops.
Today, I was sitting in class and I fell asleep during the lesson. I was wearing sweatpants and had an erection. My teacher came up to me and grabbed my penis. She thought it was my phone. FML
Hahaha
I saw that too and I busted out laughing.
is it bad i don't know what FML stands for???
I didn't know either, but Google is one of my close friends.

Well, Shade, let me explain.
It's certainly not a PG acronym. But the site itself isn't really about being un-pg. It's just got an un-pg word in the name.
I don't know. The language isn't acceptable (Yes, the F stands for what you'd think), but the site really isn't that bad.
*shrugs* I know my opinion on it doesn't matter. But it's just a funny little site. As long as people don't use the acronym to mean anything (and use it as the name of the website) I think it should be okay...
But, officially, the name isn't PG.

Locked the thread, I'm at work now (can't fine yet) but these kinds of things shouldn't be on CB and the people who posted all know this.
