Are power outages in places that aren't my home dangerous? The whole looty business?

Nov won't be responding for a bit as he is currently out looting.
lasted about two hours... went one town over to find some food and drove back to the joyful lights of my burg...
reminded me why the country folk around here have generators and food storage
I think I will always have food in storage thou I am not in the countryside.
A Calfire helicopter hit a power line as it was attempting to fight a wildfire just south of here.

it is cheaper to have car fridge, car laptop power supply, few led car lamps and a car ;-) then a power generator (if you are living out of town in a modern world).
cutting most of separate infrastructure of power generator builders. fixers and dedicated power generator documentation readers ;-),
they are good for hospitals or server rooms... ;-) for home use it is better to use car with it outlet and accumulator. And you can use all equipment in a real life... not only in a "Terminator" movies.

no power for only 2 hours?
I got hit by IKE last year and had no power no water and no nothing for 4 weeks. Try that sometime hey?
You never realize how much we use all the techno tools until you can't use them at all.
I don't know how I survived to be honest. I think being numb helped some ya know ;) and being alive helped a lot
I spent a good twelve hours without power over the weekend after lightning took out several residential transformers, including the one in my yard. Not terribly long, given that storm outages during my childhood often took days to fix, but still long enough to be annoying.
